Just a 2-minute walk from JR Ebisu Station, CarneSio east is a popular Tokyo bistro with a focus on enjoying steak simply seasoned with salt.

Wagyu Rare Hamburg Steak – JPY 1,600

This dish is like a Hamburg steak in name, but it’s actually more like Yukhoe (Korean-style beef tartare). As a big fan of yellow mustard, I covered it with mustard, salt, and pepper before digging in—and it was absolutely perfect! It may have been the highlight of the day. The bitterness of the arugula paired beautifully with the salt and pepper I added myself.

Every cut of meat was delicious, but the Zabuton sukiyaki, enjoyed with egg and a bite of rice, was truly outstanding. Mixing the leftover sauce, egg, and rice together makes for an especially tasty finish. Just a five-minute walk from Iriya Station on the Tokyo Metro, Sadaya is a reservation-only steak kaiseki restaurant frequented by celebrities.

There is no set menu; instead, the chef prepares dishes tailored to your budget and preferences.

The first floor features an L-shaped counter surrounding the open kitchen, while private table rooms are available on the second floor.

The "Steak Kaiseki," which changes its menu based on the season and your budget, is also highly recommended. It promises a truly blissful dining experience.

Dishes such as "Strip Loin Steak" and "Kegani (Hairy Crab) Cream Croquette" showcase the use of only the finest ingredients.
