I was picked up at the station by a car, and my wife said, "I want to eat horumon or yakiniku!" That's why we went to "Yakiniku Haru-chan". Maybe it was good timing? There were two counter seats available, so we sat there. The restaurant was full, so I guess there were a lot of regular customers. The female owner and two female staff members seemed to be very busy. We toasted with beer and oolong tea. We ordered three dishes Cow tongue, salted horumon, and marucho. We ate the canned tuna macaroni salad that came as an appetizer, and waited. The female owner carefully cuts each dish one by one every time she takes an order, so it's no wonder that the food is slow to be served. Especially since all the tables are full. The customers are also cooperative, clearing their plates and going to pick up their food, and the homey atmosphere is heartwarming to see. After we finished eating the horumon, we were served the marucho a while later. It's no wonder that Cow tongue came last because that's how the other customers ordered. But I wanted to start with Cow tongue. I don't mind if it's on a charcoal grill, but it burns on a hot plate, and the smell bothers me when I grill it on top of that. I'm sorry about the taste, too. I like thin, light innards and marucho, but these have no flavor... and so does Cow tongue. Even when I eat it with sauce, it's not just thin, it's unsatisfying. Is it because they cut and season it after I order, or is it because it wasn't seasoned beforehand? I'm not a professional, so I don't know. It was busy, so I didn't order more, paid the bill, and left the restaurant. It was a good deal, but even though I was feeling a bit unsatisfied, it was nice to see them off with a smile. Thank you for the meal.
