壬生川駅そばの今治鉄板焼鳥店。今治市内の有名店(四天王の一つ)の分家？「五味鳥」は、今治、壬生川の他にも西条市内にもある。
今治鉄板焼鳥店にしては店内は広くカウンターと座敷があり、駐車場も完備している。店内はきちんと整備されている。
家族で経営されている店のようで、以前はご主人が焼いていたが、最近は娘さん？元気な感じの女性が焼いてくれることが多いが、以前同様、どれも標準以上の味だ。ここで美味しいのは「せんざんき」「かわ」「れんこん」などなど。焼き鳥はどちらかというと「世渡」や「はち八」などと比べてたれが辛めの味付けだ。とくに「せんざんき」は味がよーくしみ込んでいて、それでいてさっぱりしていて、大変おいしい。「早い、安い、うまい」店が多い今治焼鳥ですが、ここもコスパのかなり高い店ですね。
