今日は先週利用した武蔵新城のすし勘の支店に寄ってみることにしました。
東横線都立大学駅から徒歩約7分の道路沿いにあるお店は木造2階建て、純和風
の店構えで青い暖簾が掲げられていました。引き戸式の扉を開けて店内に入ると
カウンター席、テーブル席合わせて30席程、更に2階に座敷席があるようです。
先客は常連らしい男性客一人のみでした。
カウンター内には30代半ばくらいの板長さんと若手のお弟子さん2人が接客、更に
一戦を退いたこちらのご主人が会計係として役割分担で受け持っているようです。
メニューは本店同様置いておらず、お料理はにぎり、ちらしのみのラインアップ、ドリ
ンクも生ビール、サワー、日本酒等相応の品揃え。今回も本店と同じくにぎりとレモ
ンサワーを注文。今回はカウンター席のため直接板長さんから個別に皿代わりの笹
の葉に載せてもらう方式でした。
にぎりは9貫、中トロ、ヒラメ、あおり烏賊、大トロの炙り、ウニ、いくら、アナゴ、甘エビ、
玉子、巻き物は鉄火巻きが6貫と本店と同じ構成。シャリの分量も本店同様小ぶりで
一口サイズ。その後コハダを追加でオーダー。
味の方も本店同様シャリとネタの相性がピタリと合ってとろける食感、特に旬のネタ
を使ったにぎりは力強さを感じる印象、本店以上の出来栄えのように思える内容でした。
店内も本店より新しい分全体的に明るい雰囲気を感じて女性客にも好まれそうです。
銀座の老舗の流れを汲むお店だけに、江戸前を基本としたお寿司で真っ向勝負とい
った印象、寿司通の常連客が多いように感じました。
寿司職人としては中堅と思われる板長さんは腕前のみならず話しも上手で、接客が
とても丁寧な方でした。お店の場所が少し最寄り駅から距離があるのでいつでも、と
いう訳にはいきませんが、また時々本店同様機会を見つけて訪れたいと思います。
