休日だったが2台の目覚まし時計を鳴らし、いつも通り朝4時45分に起きた。
予定の時間までにはかなり余裕はあったが、連休の初めで道が混むのを避けてのことだ。
戸締まりを確認し、車のキーはスタータに切り替え車を走らせた。いつもとは違って遠回りしたのは、途中義父母の家に寄り二人を乗せるためだった。
甲州街道から芋窪通りに入り、目的地へと向かった。
思いの外、道は空いていて予定より早く着いた。事務所で手続きを済ませ、時間が来るのを待った。今日の旅立ちの日には、絶好の天気だった。

従業員に促され、仕切りで半プライベートスペースとなったテーブル席へと促された。年のいった家族がいるから、座敷よりテーブル席はありがたい。
ランチを楽しむ家族、それから場所がら法事に使う客もあった。
会席料理 梅（11品:5600円）
○先付
若草豆腐
見た目と違って、いたって普通の味わい。
○前菜
三種盛
見た目鮮やかだが、先付けとしては可もなく不可もなく。
○凌ぎ
穴子寿司
穴子寿司は好きだが、甘酢というより砂糖を直に入れた感じがして苦手だった。
○お吸い物
青海苔新丈と独活のお吸い物
出汁感が余り伝わらない。普通に美味しかった。
○お造り
季節鮮魚三種盛り合わせ 妻もの一式
鮪の中トロは、活きがよくくどくない脂の乗りがよい。
○焼物
鰤の木ノ芽焼き
脂の乗りは感じなかった。ごく普通に美味しい。
○煮物
身がき鰊、筍、小芋、スナックエンドウ、桜麩の炊 合せ
カリッとした食感が印象的なスナックエンドウ、そして筍は、美味しかった。
○揚物
海老、筍新丈、山菜、蓮根の天婦羅
藻塩でいただく旬の食材。なかなか美味しくいただいた。
○酢の物
ホッキ貝、胡瓜、若布、分葱の酢味噌掛け
いわゆるヌタ場で、これは美味しく口に出来た。
○お食事
自家製麺ざるうどん
讃岐うどんが自慢のようだが、申し訳程度の量だった。
うどんは弾力があり、歯を押し返すほどに食感楽しめる。これは旨い。如何せん旨いうどんを食べさせてくれるうどんつゆが凡庸だった。
○デザート
メロン
甘くて、よく熟している。〆に相応しいフルーツだった。
家族で、あるいは身内での集まりなどには、使いやすい一店には違いない。店の方々の接客に過不足もなかった。

いよいよ、オフクロはオヤジの元へ、みんなのいる所へと旅だった。しかし、決して寂しくはない。
親が子を想うように、子はその子へと想いは繋がっていく。
生まれ変わっても、母さんの子どもでありたい。
そんなキレイ事は、今は止めておこう。
