食べられないと期待が増すアジフライ定食
巣鴨にある「魚升」に行った。駅を北側に出て、ロータリーの東角のビル地階にある。以前に前を通った際、究極のアジフライ定食という看板が気になったので、行ってみた。
しかし、残念なことに限定15食は、13時に入店した時点で売り切れていた。そこで、本日は日替り三種盛り780円を注文。これは、刺身三種、カボチャコロッケ、モツ煮がついていた。刺身はランチタイムなので、あらかじめ切ってあるのだろう。ややクタッとしていて、刺身居酒屋の出すものとしては普通。カボチャコロッケは、冷凍ではないようで、プリッとした大きなもの。
アジフライが食べられなかったのは残念だが、モツ煮が食べられたので一応満足。究極と謳うアジフライへの期待値が上がったので、次回に期待しよう。

巣鴨の「魚枡」で、念願のアジフライ定食880円を食べることができた。一月に来た際には、売り切れのため違うものを食べたが、今日は運良く開店の11時30分に入れたので大丈夫だった。何故、ここのアジフライ定食が食べたかったかというと、究極のアジフライ定食とポップにかいてあり、ネーミングに釣られてしまった。
定食には、アジフライ二枚、味噌汁、冷奴、フライ二枚と、アジの骨せんべいである。フライは、やわらかくて、生姜おろし で一枚目を食べ、特製のウスターで二枚目を食べる。元々、大根おろしは好きなのだが、フライにかけるよりも御飯にのせて食べたい。アジフライは、ふんわりとしていたものの、衣がやや油っこかったので、パンチのあるウスターの方が合っていた。
思いが遂げられ良かったが、究極のアジフライというネーミングまでの感動はなかった。そうなったのは、多分油っぽかったためだろう。
