2019年1月中旬、たまたま高円寺界隈に出掛けた際に、ネットで、「高円寺」、「デカ盛り」・・・などのキーワード検索で見つけたお店。
もともと武蔵野うどんは大好きな事もあり、ランチはこちらに決定。
お店は通りからちょっと入った所にあり、最初は気付かずに通りすぎてしまいました。
午後１時前、店内を覗くと、奥に空席がある様子。
早速お店に入りました。
店内は、カウンター席のみ。
入り口入ってすぐの所に券売機があり、こちらで食券を買ってから店員さんに渡して注文するシステムです。
メニューを見てみると、武蔵野うどんでは定番と言える、肉汁つけうどんを始め、いくつかメニューがあります。
気になったのは「冷や肉」です。
冷たい麺に、温め？の肉入りのかけつゆをかけたもの。
何となく、入谷の蕎麦屋「角萬」の「冷や肉」を思いだしました。

が、しかし、こちらに来たのは「肉汁つけうどん」の特盛りを食べるため・・・
だったはず。
迷いに迷った末に、初志貫徹で肉汁つけうどんの特盛りに決まり。
妻は「肉辛汁つけうどん」、辛さが1辛～3辛まで選べるということで、2辛にしました。
食券を購入し、空いていた店内奥のカウンター席へ。
食券を渡す際に、店員さんから、麺は何にするか、冷にするか、温にするか、湯だめにするか聞かれます。
私ら夫婦は迷うことなく「麺は極太、冷で」と注文。
オーダーが入ってから麺を茹でるので、提供まで多少時間がかかりますが、それは承知済み。
ふと見ると、目の前に「麦焼酎うどん湯割」の文字が！
こちらは食券ではなく現金での提供のよう、早速「すみませ～ん。麦焼酎のうどん湯割お願いします」とオーダー。
蕎麦焼酎の蕎麦湯割は、蕎麦屋などでよく見かけますが、麦焼酎のうどん湯割を見たのは初めてかも。
寒い中を歩きまわってきたので、これは暖まりますね。
そうこうしている内にうどんが到着。
極太の麺は、平べったく不揃いなもの。
武蔵野うどんはこうでなくったゃ、などと心の中で思いながら口に運びます。
決してつるつるとすするうどんではありません。
ゴワゴワ、ゴリゴリといった表現がしっくりくるような歯応えの麺です。
これはまさに私の好みの武蔵野うどん。
ちょっと甘めの肉汁も美味しい。
しっかり噛まないとならない剛麺を食べながら麦焼酎のうどん湯割をくいっ。
至福の時間です。
麺の特盛りは850グラムとの事ですが、ペロッと食べてしまいました。
