散歩の途中で堀之内の妙法寺に寄った。
杉並区内では、大きな寺になると思う。
環7から西へ200ｍくらい入った所に妙法寺がある。
この辺り 門前町の名残の店も、ほとんど無くなってしまっている。
妙法寺の隣に名物の揚げまんじゅうという看板があったので、買い食いする。
散歩の楽しみだね。
以前来た時は揚げまんじゅう店だけだったと思うが、同じ建物の中にそば屋も併設するようになっていた。
むしろ、今はそば屋の方が本業のようで、結構人が入っていた。
揚げまんじゅうは注文してその場で揚げてくれる。
４種あり、こしあん、つぶあん、かぼちゃあん、黒糖。
どれも160円。
食べながら歩くので、つぶあん1個を注文。
おばあちゃんが暖簾の奥へ入って揚げてくれた。
出来立ての熱々。
軽く揚げられた衣が、さくさく。
大きさはまんじゅうとしては小さめで、中のあんこも多くない。
名物として歴史のある菓子だから、なんとなく品格がある。
あっという間に食べてしまった。
おいしかった。
