I visited for lunch on Saturday.
While shopping in Nikotama, I decided to look for a place to eat.
However, everywhere was crowded, and it seemed like I wouldn’t be able to get in anywhere quickly.
After wandering around for a while, I discovered this place.
It seems to be a tuna restaurant, and the name is quite interesting, with a café-like atmosphere inside.
I was seated at the counter in the back.
The lunch menu features a set meal with ramen and a tuna rice bowl, along with three types of tuna rice bowls.
I chose the basic "Ishikatsu" fresh tuna rice bowl (JPY 1,800).
The red miso soup was delicious.
It had a rich flavor, but it wasn’t overly salty.
Perhaps the broth is made from the tuna.
The tuna of the day was from Akkeshi, Hokkaido.
The red vinegar sushi rice was beautifully arranged, topped with layers of red and medium fatty tuna.
The color of the tuna was stunning.
The red tuna had a rich umami flavor.
The medium fatty tuna was sweet and flavorful.
Both were incredibly delicious.
Since it had a good amount of fat, I recommend adding plenty of wasabi.
I left a bit of tuna and topped it with the small bowl of tororo to make a mountain-style dish.
That was also delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious tuna at this place I stumbled upon.
Thank you for the meal!
