2020年10月 カツカレーはじめました。
蘭亭ぽん多のとんかつはまず一口 お塩で |
昼を抜いた日の午後5時。
夜の部の開店と同時に訪問。特製かつにしました。
ご飯、味噌汁は別に頼む必要があります。
100度という低温で揚げるため、時間がかかるらしい。
25分くらいで出来上がりました。
すべてに上質な素材を使っていることが、よくわかる。
ただ、カツ自体は好みが分かれると思う。
確かに時間をかけて、上質の厚めの肩ロースを
揚げているので、肉はとても柔らかく仕上がり、
肉汁がたっぷりと滲み出す。
このたっぷりの肉汁は美味しいのだが、一方で
最初の一口の時点ですでに肉汁が滲み出した
カツの底面の衣は汁気でふやけて、食感を失っている…
量と値段のバランスの悪さや、老舗の誇りと驕りを
感じさせる接客などよりも、まずはこのカツ自体が
私の好みとはだいぶ違っていました。
特徴のあるカツなので、これが好きで通っている人も
多いのでしょう。
大勢の野球選手や俳優などが常連とのこと。
つまりは老舗のカツ、というのが私の感想です。
素材がよいだけに、少し残念です。
