カレー好きの友人2人と一緒に訪れたインド料理店。かつてここは庭だったと言うカレーオタクのひとりは、 1店舗を選ぶのに迷うこと迷う事、3人の意見であっさり系よりもドロドロ系がいいと言うことで、選ばれたのがマンダラ。
1時半を回っていたので、待つこともなく入店。まずは、シンハーとハイボールで乾杯♪この後5時半からディナーの予約があるので、食べ過ぎるわけにもいかないが、ある程度は食べたい！（笑）、と言うことでチョイスしたのは

ナンとサフランライスの両方が食べたい、と言うことでこれに決定。カレーの辛さは通常選べるのだが、種類を食べたいのでダブルカレー(ハーフサイズを2種類)、ただ辛さは選べないので「普通(やや辛口)」のみ。3人でランチ2人分をシェアがピッタリだった☆
ナンはモッチリタイプで、小麦の風味豊か。サフランライスは長粒米ではなく、ちょっと残念、味的にも特徴はなかった。カレーはマトン、シュリンプ、ダール、バターチキン。すべて濃厚で美味しく、辛味と旨味のバランスがいい。マサラカレーはいいですね、ぼくはバターチキンマサラが特に気に入りました。締めはフルーツライタ。
店内はそれなりにおしゃれで、スタッフは可もなく不可もなく、不快に思う事は無い。今度は夜に来てみたい。
