神楽坂にある一軒家フレンチレストランを利用しました。
実はあまり調べずに訪問し、店の名前などから最新の和食レストランと思っていました。
ただ、それもあながち間違いではなく前菜は重箱（木箱？）に入れたおばんざいの品々
色とりどりの食器に盛り付けられた８種類のおばんざいに大満足。
その後も茶わん蒸し、大きな器に入ったサラダと続き大満足
大満足なポイントは「野菜をたっぷり食べられること」
野菜を食べたいと思ってもなかなか良い店が無く、
また野菜を食べたい時に調べる方法もあまり無いんですよね…。
もし「ステーキを食べたい」「うなぎを食べたい」となると店を探すことは簡単ですが
「野菜を美味しくたっぷり食べたい」というと良い店が無く、
せいぜい「美味しいサラダがある店にしよう」と言う選択肢しかない。
しかし、この店では美味しい野菜を様々な形で食べることができ大満足でした。
そして、もちろん肉や魚介類も美味しかったです。
雰囲気も良く、食べ物も素晴らしいとなると、お酒にも期待してしまいますが
この店は料理が主役であり酒は二の次と感じました。
具体的にそう感じたポイントとしては
・ワインの説明は少々適当
上から順に飲んでとのことでしたし、それが味のバランスとしても料理にも合うという意味だと思いますが、どの料理とどのワインが厳密に対応しているかは考えていないように感じられました。
・日本酒の扱いも残念ながら適当
今月の日本酒とメニューにあるのですが、１種類ずつしか出してもらえず、しかも勝手に提供されました(笑)
また定番メニューに「神亀」があるのですがこの酒は熟成していて常温～燗酒向きなのですが冷酒で提供。あえてそうしているというコンセプトがあるわけでもなく「日本酒だから冷酒でしょ」と言わんばかりでした。
・酒器も適当
ワインも日本酒も様々なグラスで提供しているのですが、そこにもコンセプトが感じられませんでした。
このワインなら別のグラスの方が味が開くのになぁ。
この日本酒なら別のグラスの方が良いだろうにと思うことが多い。
とはいえ、ソムリエを雇うわけにもいかないでしょうし、酒については二の次というところでしょうか。
ただ、酒についても決して美味しくないわけではなく、料理にかける意気込みに比べると、酒への意気込みは感じられないという程度です。
しかし、酒の問題が気にならないぐらいとても素晴らしい料理でした！
