I was attracted by the words "fresh pasta" and wanted to go to this restaurant. After a meeting, I remembered that I hadn't had lunch, so I came here to take a break before my next job. It was 6pm on a weekday, and there were no customers. It was small, so it's perfect for a solo visit. Looking at the menu, it seems that they're promoting carbonara. I love carbonara, but the more I eat, the heavier it gets, which is a problem. I didn't have much of an appetite this time of year, so I decided to go with the safe option of tomato sauce, and chose "fresh sea urchin and scallops in tomato sauce." The pasta was served in less than 10 minutes, hmm? It looked redder than I expected. Is this a bit suspicious? The fresh sea urchin was on top more firmly than I expected, so it didn't contradict the name. The fresh pasta was a little thicker than I expected and was starting to solidify, but it was chewy and I didn't dislike it. The problem was the scallops and the sauce. The scallops used were either frozen or boiled, and the difference was more pronounced when placed next to the fresh sea urchin, so it didn't seem like a good combination. In this case, I think the raw sea urchin alone would be enough. And what was most disappointing was the sauce, which was the main ingredient after the fresh pasta. The tomato sourness was still very much there, and to be honest, it was at homemade level. I'm always worried about the sourness of the tomato sauce I make at home, but this isn't much different. The tomato flavor is quite strong, so the sea urchin aroma is lost with the tomato. I feel like the sea urchin would have come out better if it was paired with a cream sauce or oil base. It was a shame, as it was a pasta dish that brought together all my favorite ingredients...
