中央通りの銀座通り口近くにある百名店に選ばれているインドカレー屋さん。
同店はインド南部に位置するアーンドラ・プラデシュ州の料理を提供している。
11時25分入店。先客は5名。
11時27分にAランチセット（990円）を注文。このセットは日替わりカリー2種類に、チャパティorナン、パスマティライス、サラダが付くセットだ。
今回の日替わりカリーは、マトンアル（辛口）、ペッパーチキン（中辛）、アルペンディバアソガソマサ（甘口）であった。私はマトンアルとペッパチキンを頼んだ。
スタッフは、インド人と思われる大柄な男性が4名。みんな声が大きくて厨房の会話が聞こえてくる。（会話内容はわからないが）
11時31分に料理が運ばれてくる。
まずナンでかっ！皿から大きくはみ出しているやん。
まずは、マトンアルから。羊肉を使ったスパイシーなカレーであり、ココナッツミルクやスパイスが多く使用されていると思われ濃厚で深い味わいである。辛口と書いてあるが、そこまで辛くはない中辛レベルと言ったところか。羊肉も臭みもなく、日本人が受け入れやすいカレーではないか。
次にペッパーチキンは、スパイシーで香り豊かな味わい、それにペッパーが効いており鶏肉と絶妙にマッチしている。
もちろんナンとの相性もばっちり。ちなみにナンはバターたっぷり目である。ただ、意外と軽くあっという間に食べてしまった。
バスマティライスとは、どちらかというとペッパーチキンカレーが合う。バスマティライスは、インドやパキスタンの一部地域で生産されているお米。ソーメンを切ったようなパサパサのお米だ。
サラダはキャベツ、人参、キュウリのコールスローというかピクルスのような感じであった。
銀座で本格派の南インド料理を1,000円以下で食べることができる良心的なお店である。
