After stopping by and enjoying a soak at the onsen facility "Nihonkai Saiho no Yu," known only to those in the know, I was in the mood for some intense Yakiniku (Grilled meat) and beer. So I decided to drop by this place, which is open all day. It was around 4:30 p.m. on a Sunday. The restaurant faces the road that connects the Aitani IC on the Niigata Bypass (National Route 7) and Niigata Airport. It is diagonally opposite "Ramen Seifat Sanjushi Shinmatsuzaki Branch." There is a large sign on top of the building, so you'll easily spot it. It's a new, boxy, single-story building with a calm exterior. There was a large parking lot (shared) on the south side of the building. The inside of the restaurant is also new and has a calm atmosphere. There were about 10 tables for 4-6 people and about 3 low tables (wooden floor) for 4-6 people. Because it was a bit late, there were only 1-2 other groups of customers. On the day, the "4th Anniversary Campaign" was being held, and there were several special limited menus. We visited as a couple and ordered the "4th Anniversary Platter (Beef Kalbi, Beef Skirt Steak, Cow tongue, Beef Sirloin) 2,000 yen" (limited menu), "Top Cow tongue Salt 1,180 yen", "Hormone Platter (Medium Fatty Hormone, Top Tripe, Beef Liver) 980 yen", "Recommended Sliced Beef Kalbi 580 yen" x 2, "Kimchi 3-piece Platter 680 yen", and "Folk Story Platter Rice 320 yen" x 2 (all excluding tax). For drinks, I had draft beer, and my companion who had left the car had non-alcoholic beer. As appetizers, we were served salami and pickles, edamame, coleslaw, pickled Chinese cabbage, oi kimchi, and sliced onions, and I was surprised at how much we had. Both the food and drinks were served quickly. In addition, the tabletop stove had a strong flame, so we were able to keep cooking Yakiniku (Grilled meat) until it was crispy. All of the yakiniku dishes were delicious. I especially liked the slightly thick-sliced "Top Cow tongue salt" with its crunchy texture and rich flavor, the soft and melt-in-your-mouth "medium fatty horumon", and the fatty "recommended cut beef ribs". Also, the "old story rice" was very filling. I think it was about 1.5 cups of rice. After the hot spring bath, we had Yakiniku (Grilled meat) and beer, and it was a happy experience. The "4th anniversary campaign" will be held until Saturday, February 29th.
