2023/07/26 "I'm hungry!" As usual, my companions are making a racket. So, where shall we go today? After doing some research, I found a restaurant that I had been considering for years, but had completely forgotten about recently... So today, I visited "Yangzijiang Branch" in Shinanomachi, Chuo Ward for the first time. I've been around this area many times, but I didn't notice it at all because it's in a residential area one block back from the main street. Does a branch mean there's a main store? I've never heard of it... (￣▽￣;) I parked my car in the parking lot on the north side of the store and entered the store at 11:36. Inside the store, there is one table seat for three people, three tables for four people, two semicircular tables for four people, and one circular table for eight people. I can't see it because the door is closed, but I wonder if there is another room in the back? There are two groups of three customers. We sit at a corner table and look at the menu. I wondered if there was something like a "lunch set" at this time of day? But there wasn't... (T▽T) I wondered if there was something like a "hiyashi chuka" at this time of year? But there wasn't... (T▽T) It was just a very simple grand menu. Now, which one should I get? My companion seems to have gotten the "Gomoku Yakisoba". I'll get the "Chap Fried Rice". This restaurant doesn't have a pitcher of cold water, so you have to ask the waiter for a refill. I was given a cloth towel. There were no condiments. I wonder if they'll bring some if needed? 11:53, the bowl arrived. "Chap Fried Rice" The fried rice was surrounded by three large pieces of pork (with bones), and the soup was also included. Well, as always, let's start by drinking a sip of the soup and then get started... Oh, it's delicious! The meat was super juicy, and the five-spice powder seasoning was amazing. On the other hand, the fried rice is lightly seasoned and a little unsatisfying if you eat it by itself (for me), but it may be just right if you eat it with meat. If I had to say something, the amount is a little small for me... I might want to takeaway just the meat and eat about three bowls of rice... I ate and drank everything today. Thank you for the meal.
