On the first day of my autumn trip to Shinshu, I encountered an unexpected road closure on the Kanetsu Expressway due to an accident. Instead of just a traffic jam, it was a complete standstill, and the exit was heavily congested, as was the local road. I arrived much later than planned and was in a rush for lunch.
At the food court of Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza, I looked around and found Koshizuka. I love their corned beef and have bought it many times, but the prices have really gone up recently, so I hadn’t had it in a while.
You can enjoy delicious corned beef easily! I ordered the Corned Beef TKG (Tamago Kake Gohan) and Corned Beef Bibimbap. It was ready in about 5-6 minutes, so I went to pick it up.
The TKG, which is rice topped with a raw egg, featured a soft-boiled egg and corned beef, with the addition of Shinshu's nozawana (pickled greens) providing a nice accent. It was simple but good! I enjoyed it very much✨- ̗̀( ˶'ᵕ'˶)
That evening, I had an early dinner that I had reserved well in advance, so I kept my lunch light (or maybe just normal!? ˆˆ;), but the taste was very satisfying✨.
Koshizuka's corned beef is the best! Despite the price increase (≧∇≦), I will definitely go back for more! By the way, it seems you can also buy it as a souvenir here.
