I knew there was a specialty coffee shop here, but every time I passed by, it turned out to be closed. I should have checked more carefully, but it’s been about three years of missed visits.
Finally, this year, I was able to visit while the shop was open.
There were two customers ahead of me. The inside has a cozy cabin-like vibe, with some ship-like lighting, creating quite a charming atmosphere.
In the back, there’s a large roasting machine.
The shop is run by an elderly couple. The husband has the typical look of a coffee shop owner, while the wife seems gentle yet carries herself with a sense of pride, as if to say she manages the place.
There used to be two dogs, but now there's just a big therapy dog. It’s very calm and truly comforting, as expected from a therapy dog.
I ordered the Ethiopian coffee, while my companion chose the Mikage Blend. Being an old-style café, they favor darker roasts. As a seasonal treat, a pumpkin-shaped marshmallow accompanied the coffee.
I ended up ordering another cup, this time the Colombia Cleopatra.
I was feeling relaxed, so I wanted to have a refill on my coffee.
The mentioned dog just stood still like a big stuffed animal when I passed by on my way to the restroom. Its big eyes were so soothing.
This café retains a nostalgic Showa-era charm, making it a rare find.
It was a wonderful meal.
