Breakfast time with a refreshing breeze
On the second day, my friend picked me up from the hotel at 7:00 and took me to this café. In fact, I really liked this place during my last visit for breakfast. They've since relocated within the premises.
Upon arrival...
I noticed that they had indeed moved from the second floor to a single-story building next door. There were both indoor and terrace seats, but since the weather was lovely, we opted for the terrace.
Now, let’s check the menu. It seemed unchanged from my last visit. Here’s what we ordered:
- Bacon and Egg with Avocado Toast JPY 1,500
- Fluffy Scrambled Eggs with Toast JPY 1,300
- Coffee JPY 600 x 2
★ Bacon and Egg with Avocado Toast
Interestingly, I had the same dish during my previous visit. The combination of the runny egg, bacon, and avocado is delightful and delicious. However, this time, the avocado didn’t quite meet expectations, which was a bit disappointing.
As for this café,
it's beautiful inside, but the terrace really shines. Unlike in Kanto, it’s cool here with low humidity, making the morning exceptionally pleasant. The staff was also very attentive, making for a perfect start to the day.
It was a great meal.

On the second day of my short trip to Nagano, I was taken to this cafe once again, just like last year. The humid, sweltering heat of the Kanto region is completely different from the refreshing, pleasant atmosphere of the terrace here, which I absolutely love.
Having had bacon and eggs on avocado toast during my last two visits, I decided to try something different this time. I chose...

★ Eggs Benedict with home fries
This was my first time trying Eggs Benedict, and I found the tangy sauce quite interesting. To be honest, it’s not exactly to my taste, but it’s delicious in its own right, making for a nice breakfast on the terrace. The coffee afterwards was great too, leaving me feeling refreshed.
I also tried some of the pancakes and stuffed French toast that my wife and daughter ordered. The pancakes here are delicious as well!
As always, there's a lovely breeze flowing through the terrace, and the staff's service is very good. It truly feels like a typical Karuizawa breakfast spot, which makes it one of my favorite cafes. I think I’ll come back here for breakfast next time too.
