It's a bit hard to reach without a car, but I found a lovely cafe in Miyota Town, just a little over 10 minutes from Nakakaruizawa, so I decided to go!
The cafe is located alongside "Studio M," which specializes in interior design and custom furniture. Surrounded by trees, it's open from Friday to Sunday, so be sure to check ahead before visiting.
The interior has a natural ambiance with large windows, creating a bright and stylish atmosphere. It was fully booked when I visited, but the terrace seating looked very inviting.
I ordered my usual coffee from Sangha Coffee, which features locally roasted hand-dripped coffee. That day, they had two options each for "Today's Coffee" and "My Usual Coffee."
I also enjoyed an apricot cake, beautifully garnished with apricot compote.
They serve iced coffee as well! A perfect size for a little break after lunch. The drink set with dessert is reasonably priced at an additional JPY 300.
One of the great things about Karuizawa is the abundance of cafes surrounded by greenery. This cafe offered delicious coffee, cake, and fresh air!
It was a great meal!
