For a stay in Karuizawa, I recommend Regina Resort Kyukaruizawa.
There’s also a Regina Resort near Mikage Water, but my partner wanted Japanese food, so we chose this one (b・´∀`・ ).
I have stayed at several Regina Resort locations, and this one is very pet-friendly, with great amenities and facilities. The staff's service is also excellent, so I felt comfortable staying with my dog (*^o^*).
Since it was a cold day, we checked in early, took a break in our twin room, and then went for a walk around the hotel. After playing at the wood chip dog run, we relaxed in our room while waiting for dinner (ne)d(d´w`*).
Dinner was at a restaurant where dogs are welcome. We enjoyed a leisurely meal starting at 6 PM that lasted over an hour and a half. The course included appetizers, soup, sashimi, grilled dishes, a main dish, simmered dishes, a side dish, rice, stopping soup, pickles, seasonal fruits, and dessert. It was all delicious, and I was very satisfied with the meal shared with my dog (*^o^*).
The next morning's breakfast was plentiful. At home, I usually only have coffee and toast, but it was so tasty that I ended up eating a bit too much!
After breakfast, I fed my hungry dog and went for a morning walk to the nearby Kumba Pond (d(´∀`*).
Thank you for the wonderful stay, and it was a great meal!
