Today, I avoided the lingering summer heat by having a golf outing in Karuizawa. It was wonderful. The high altitude means cooler temperatures, and the golf balls fly further, making for a fantastic day. For lunch, I ordered the Beef Hitsumabushi Light. It came with about three servings of rice and a generous amount of meat, which definitely satisfied my appetite. This golf course is quiet and exceptional. I would love to come back!

A golf outing with clients today. To escape the heat, we chose this club. Even though it's late September, it's 30 degrees in Tokyo—quite unusual. However, in Karuizawa, the maximum temperature is 25 degrees; it's cool in the shade, but still warm in the sun. This club features a mountain course with narrow fairways and steep elevation changes. The greens are fast and challenging. But today, I played decently in the first half.
After the front nine, it was time for lunch. The menu didn’t really catch my eye, but I decided to try the limited-time Tororo Katsu-ju. As for the taste, the tororo didn’t quite match with the katsu-ju. I think it would have been better to skip the tororo and just use the regular sauce. Still, I enjoyed a beer and left feeling full. Overall, I’m satisfied with today.
