Hello, I’m Food Drunk Gourmet.
Today, I would like to introduce you to Tsukemono Aiki, a renowned pickles and oyaki shop located in Old Karuizawa.
While casually strolling through Old Karuizawa Ginza, I came across a man selling cucumbers.
I had been curious about it every time, but this was my first visit. Haha.
Old Karuizawa Ginza has a quiet atmosphere, but this shop is the only one actively calling out to customers. Their strategy is quite clever!
Upon entering, I was delighted to find not only cucumbers but also a wide variety of pickles.
Cucumber: JPY 250
Cucumber Pickles × 2: JPY 1000
Normally, it’s JPY 650 for one, but they generously offered two for JPY 1000.
Even though the cost is low, I was truly happy with such fantastic service.
The whole cucumber pickle is delicious, but the regular pickles were even better. The spicy cucumber pickles, in particular, are extraordinary.
This place is great for couples on a date or if you’re feeling down; it’s a lot of fun!
The chatty owner makes it an enjoyable experience!
I highly recommend checking it out!
