I went to Harunire Terrace at Hoshino Resort to buy some souvenirs from Karuizawa. It's located near the Karuizawa Highlands Association.
I arrived around noon on a Monday, and was fortunate to find a parking spot, filled mostly with luxury cars from the Kanto region!
Harunire Terrace is about a 17-minute walk from Nakakaruizawa Station, along a pleasant pedestrian path.
At Kashi Doko Izumiya Denbee, a Japanese sweets shop, I purchased the walnut dumplings for JPY 220 (excluding tax). They were toasted to perfection and absolutely delicious.
Though it was crowded, I highly recommend this place.
It was a great meal!
