Lunch in a location you won't find in Tokyo.
I rode a rental bike from Karuizawa Station to find this place, and I was surprised to discover a restaurant at the end of a narrow forest path.
It had a lovely atmosphere, reminiscent of a café nestled in the woods.
Pets are allowed only on the terrace.
You can also choose from outdoor counter seating.
I enjoyed lunch at a spacious round table all to myself.
I ordered the recommended pasta meal, and it came with a salad, bread, and soup, making it quite filling.
I could really taste the rich umami from the seafood in the pasta.
I also ordered the apple tart, which had a simple yet nostalgic flavor.
Since they open early in the morning, it seems like a great place to stop by for breakfast as well.
Despite it being one of the coldest days of the autumn, the lunch was delicious.
At the time of checkout, I left my dog on the terrace while I settled the bill inside.
It was such a wonderful experience that I would love to return the next time I visit Karuizawa.
It was a great meal!
