"Restaurants Kitzbuhel" is across the street |
I arrived in Karuizawa town.
It was packed with tourists even during the sightseeing season.
I decided to rent a bicycle and ride around the town.
Lunchtime arrived, but there were long queues at all the popular restaurants.
Even the well-known soba shop had an enormous line.
Slightly away from the main street, I noticed a shop grilling sausages outside.
The enticing aroma and the sight of freshly grilled food were indeed effective.
It looked delicious, so I decided to give it a try.
I chose to sit at the counter inside the restaurant.
There was a display case with homemade sausages and bacon, which seemed to be their specialty.
They also sold German bread, and I ordered a sausage dog made with their hard bread and charcoal-grilled sausage and bacon.
I opted for a non-alcoholic drink as well.
The only topping was mustard, making it quite simple.
I bought two, and they were absolutely delicious.
The taste was completely different from a hamburger.
The flavor of the wheat in the bread combined perfectly with the seasoning of the sausage.
Despite being a simple combination that highlights the quality of the ingredients, it didn't feel heavy or junky.
The size was also relatively small and easy to eat, so I couldn’t help but go back for another one.
I believe I found a place that truly values authenticity.
On my way back, I bought some bread, and after warming it at home, I found it pleasantly fragrant with a buttery aroma and a perfect crust.
If it were nearby, I could see myself becoming a regular.
