During the day, I noticed that there were surprisingly many cars parked in front of this shop, which prompted my visit.
As I opened the menu, I saw both soba and Chinese dishes available, and I wasn't expecting much due to the potential lack of focus. However, I was pleasantly surprised.
The zaru soba I ordered was surprisingly as good as that from renowned shops in the Karuizawa area. The mini tempura rice bowl was also quite satisfactory. The zaru soba and mini bowl set for JPY 1350 is a good deal for the price.
There was a note saying that service might take time due to a one-person operation, but I didn't find the waiting time to be an issue. There are separate staff for taking orders and serving, so it's not a typical one-person operation.
Next time, I would like to try the Chinese menu as well.
It was a great meal.
