I visited on a Sunday afternoon.
Karuizawa 72 was hosting a women's professional golf tour, and I played on the West Course, which was not used for the tournament.
Even in Karuizawa, the temperature reached nearly 30°C, but thanks to the refreshing breeze typical of the highlands, I was able to play comfortably.
As expected from Karuizawa 72, the fees were reasonable for a Sunday, but the hospitality was impeccable, and the service was completely stress-free.
I ordered a "Kirin Ichiban Draft Beer (JPY 1,000, tax included)" and "Ebi Fry and Sauce Katsu Don (JPY 1,850)."
Of course, lunch costs are separate from the playing fees.
The "Ebi Fry and Sauce Katsu Don" featured two pieces of ebi fry and two pieces of sauce katsu, making it quite a hearty and visually appealing dish.
However, since the heads and tails of the ebi fry are not eaten, the amount of meat was not as substantial.
Both were fried to a perfect crispiness while maintaining a moderate juiciness inside, making them delicious.
I enjoyed a wonderful lunch.
It was a great meal.
