A curry rice specialty restaurant that only serves lunch on Fridays and Sundays.
Excited to visit the place, I was greeted by a stylish, house-like exterior.
The establishment felt new and was much more inviting than I expected!
Inside, there are both chair seating and tatami mat areas, and we opted for the tatami seating.
From our spot, we enjoyed a beautiful view of Mount Asama through the retro glass window.
I ordered the limited quantity Fond de Veau Beef Curry (cooked with red wine) for JPY 950.
The curry includes domestic beef shank simmered in red wine, offering a sophisticated flavor.
The yellow rice served with it is turmeric rice.
I also tried the Spicy Curry (chicken) for JPY 750, with an extra large portion for JPY 200, and a pork cutlet topping for another JPY 200.
The flavors of the tandoori chicken, marinated in yogurt and spices, blend beautifully into the curry, making it delicious!
This curry's base is not the typical Indian or Nepalese style, but rather an authentically blended European-style curry.
It's much more fluid than the home-cooked variety, closer to a soup.
You can adjust the spiciness on a scale of 1 to 7.
