This restaurant only opens during the day on Fridays and Sundays.
Located in a residential area, it has a plain appearance resembling a typical single-family home.
I visited on a Sunday around noon.
When I arrived, the restaurant was about 70% full.
The staff was very courteous, asking, "It's a bit busy, so it might take some time; is that okay?"
When I replied, "That’s fine," they offered to bring out some complimentary coffee first.
Since it was my first visit, I chose the pork curry listed at the top of the menu, with a crispy tonkatsu topping for JPY 900.
I could select the spice level, but I decided to go with the default this time.
The pork curry featured tender chunks of braised pork in a rich, well-simmered sauce, providing a hearty portion.
For someone like me, who has been eating less lately, it was almost too much, and I thought maybe I didn’t need the topping after all.
With a salad and coffee included, the base price of JPY 750 without toppings is incredibly reasonable.
The rice was turmeric rice topped with French fries.
Overall, it was delicious and perfectly suited to my taste.
It's a pity it’s only open on Fridays and Sundays.
On this occasion, I visited with a friend, but I hope to come back with my family next time.
