Today, I’d like to introduce you to Terakoya Honpo, an absolute must-visit spot on the old Karuizawa street for food walking.
This place is definitely featured when you search for food walks on TikTok or Instagram. I’m sure many of you have seen it before!
They have a fantastic variety of wet rice crackers, and the menu is quite extensive.
Today, I decided to try the wasabi flavor, which was prominently advertised!
In conclusion, it was just okay! (laughs)
I found the texture a bit too wet and mushy, so I wish it was crunchier.
Although there was a good amount of wasabi, it wasn't too spicy, making it quite suitable for kids to enjoy.
It's also interesting to watch them grill the crackers right before serving!
If it were a bit crunchier, I would be even happier! (laughs)
This shop stands out when you visit old Karuizawa, and I hope it gains even more popularity!
