All domestically sourced, all additive-free. Handmade jam made with seasonal fruits.
Founded in 1952 as a fruit and vegetable store, we started making jams and now offer around 50 varieties year-round. You can also enjoy our hearty pirozhki filled with plenty of ground meat and boiled eggs for takeout. |
White Day Series...
I received a return gift from those to whom I delivered chocolates on Valentine's Day.
Of course, it wasn't something I received personally, but it arrived at my home, so my family decided to enjoy it together.
The first item is this!!
It arrived via courier and was surprisingly heavy... I wondered what it could be???
I thought, surely it's not alcohol??? When I opened the box, I found six bottles of jam inside.
I looked to see who the manufacturer was and found the name "Sawa Ya."
I wasn't very familiar with it, so I did a little research... They make additive-free jams using seasonal Japanese fruits.
The only ingredients are fruit and granulated sugar, truly nothing else... which means you need to be mindful of the expiration date...
They also appear to make alcohol, vinegar, side dishes, and dressings using the same fruits. Oh wow, I didn't know that...
So, I promptly spread it on some homemade bread and gave it a taste.
First up was the "Apricot Jam"... it has a slight tartness, showcasing the true flavor of apricots. It has a sharp taste.
Next was the "Jonagold Apple Jam"... this one leans towards sweetness, truly resembling jam!! The flavor is just like fresh apples.
In any case, it tastes real.
It seems you can also order it online, so I highly recommend giving it a try.
It was a great meal.
