モカゼリー。 : Mikado Coffee Karuizawa Purinsushoppingupurazaten

In October 2023, we continued our annual tradition in Karuizawa.
Lately, we’ve been spending more time at the outlet rather than the classic Kyu-Karuizawa course.
As a result, my wallet felt a little lighter!
This time, we brought our dogs and arrived comfortably before opening time.
As soon as we opened, we visited our usual spot, Mikado Coffee.
Although it was a bit chilly, I ordered the Mocha Jelly, while my companion chose the Cocoa Float.

Upon receiving our items, I couldn’t help but think, "Isn’t there a little less jelly than expected?"
As I dug in, I realized just how true that felt—the jelly seemed to be lacking!
But, it's so delicious that I can overlook it. ∩^ω^∩
Personally, I think it would be better to have a balanced amount.

Despite the cold weather, I finished it all—though, I ended up feeling a bit chilled.
For lunch, I’m definitely going for something warm!

In May 2023, I indulged in some ice cream during Golden Week in Karuizawa after a long time.
It’s become a routine for me to enjoy this along with the usual kamameshi.
Mocha soft serve ice cream! ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪
I don’t usually eat many sweet things, but ice cream, soft serve, and chocolate are different... recently I've been getting into red bean paste too!
The joy of bringing that soft serve to my mouth.
The sweet and delicious coldness spreads through my mouth (＾ω＾).
The sweetness is just right, and the collaboration of mocha flavor is wonderful.
It’s a bit painful in my head from the cold (⌒-⌒; ).
But that's okay; that's part of the enjoyment!
Since I had just started shopping and didn’t have too much to carry, I’ll take my time to eat and slowly continue shopping. ♬

The weather was nice, and the temperature was gradually rising, yet it still felt cold.
I thought I would warm up a bit with a take-away café latte from Mikado Coffee.
However, I was disappointed as the coffee and take-away options were limited that day.
My companion ordered a cold cocoa drink topped with ice (･･;)
Well, it's alright; the coffee itself wasn't bad, so I’ll let it go♬
It was a hot coffee with a pleasant aroma and a nice bitterness.

It was a great meal! (o^^o)

November 2017

It's chilly...!
But I still crave soft serve ice cream ((o(^∇^)o))
So here I am again‼︎
Although, it really is cold (⌒-⌒; )
But this soft serve ice cream is definitely worth it, even in this cold weather.
Looking around... there are others too‼︎
People are enjoying it despite the chill.
I love coffee, but I also enjoy the mocha soft serve here.
It’s becoming a staple in Karuizawa (*^ω^*)

In October 2017,

I headed to Karuizawa early in the morning!
Thanks to that, I arrived without any traffic at all.
Although I got there quite a bit early, it was much better than being stuck in frustrating traffic.
My destination was the outlet!
I even had time to wait in the parking lot before the store opened(^ ^)

As soon as the outlet opened, I started exploring.
My beloved dogs joined me too(*^ω^*)

We headed to Mikado Coffee with my dogs!
I was aiming for their soft serve ice cream.
This one is coffee-flavored, and I find that my body is ready for some sweetness in the morning.
It was delicious… I could taste a hint of bitterness paired with a mocha aroma.

After just a few minutes of enjoying it while walking, I polished it off in no time!

I decided to make a trip to Karuizawa.

While exploring the outlet shops, I was about to pass by the café around 11, when my companion said, "Aren't you going to eat something?"

Despite a bit of a line, it was only about 2-3 minutes wait.

Of course, I ordered the mocha soft serve.

The soft serve ice cream served on a cone was delightful... just one bite... coffee-flavored soft serve ice cream.

The sweetness was pleasantly subtle, which was a nice surprise.

As I strolled around with my soft serve in hand, I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it.

I usually don't eat much sweet stuff, but the bitterness of the coffee balanced the sweetness, making it delicious even for someone like me.
