Located on the bustling main street of Old Karuizawa, I've always been curious about this place whenever I passed by.
On this day, I decided to drop in for a visit just before lunch.
As the name suggests, the interior is even more classic than I imagined, adorned with antique furnishings throughout.
It's as if I stumbled into a rural French home, and it feels like I've traveled back in time.
I was seated at a table by the window, while they also have a splendid counter seating at the back.
Since it was before lunch, I only ordered coffee.
I tried the Classical Opera Blend Coffee, priced at JPY 970.
The coffee was incredibly delicious.
It was served in a matching Royal Copenhagen pot, elegant and enough for two cups.
The master and madam are very kind. When I inquired about the coffee beans, they mentioned it was an original blend centered around Brazilian beans.
The desserts looked tempting as well, so I definitely want to revisit.
