Since this trip was just for two people, we usually had our meals at the inn, but this time we decided to explore and found this tempura restaurant.
It was within walking distance from our accommodation, and I thought tempura was somewhat rare in Karuizawa.
We made a reservation for 5 PM, and although we arrived a bit early, by the time we were leaving, the place was nearly full.
It's probably better to make a reservation, as there were several reserved tables.
Among the dishes, the squid wrapped in shiso was exceptionally delicious.
The scallops were juicy, and the Shinshu salmon was flavorful with a filling of burdock miso, making it quite tasty.
