Set Meals Available Even at Night
I planned a 5-night work trip to Karuizawa.
After finishing work, I arrived at my hotel, but there were no dining options nearby.
The supermarket I went to for takeout was nearly sold out!
So, I drove to a nearby izakaya.
This time, I chose to skip alcohol and just have dinner.
It was my first experience going to an izakaya solely for a meal at night (laughs).
From the various pop-up menus on the walls, I chose the Menchi Katsu and Croquette Set Meal!
After a little while, my dinner arrived—what a feast!
To be honest, I would have liked an additional main dish as a side for dinner, but still, when I tasted it, the homemade menchi and creamy croquette were delicious.
The oil was not bad either, giving it a beautiful golden brown.
I probably would have been satisfied with this for lunch.
Well, I'll just head back to my room and drink some more (laughs).

I was on a business trip to Karuizawa for one night, and since there was an izakaya I could walk to near the hotel, I had dinner there.
I enjoyed a 久し振り drink with three colleagues!
This was the same place I visited for dinner during my last trip.
This time, I knew I was in for a typical izakaya experience (laughs).
I had homemade dishes like offal stew, gyoza, and tanuki tofu, and they were quite good.
We got so caught up in our conversations towards the end that I forgot to take pictures, but it was truly an enjoyable evening of drinks after a long time.
The menu had a wide selection, and this place is likely a precious find in the area.
