雑木林の中でいただくフルーツティー : Raphael

We entered early in the morning after looking at a guidebook for Karuizawa.

We drove there and found parking for three cars, two in front of the store and one on the side.
In front of the shop, there was a notice saying, "Children under 12 are kindly asked to refrain from entering. However, children who can sit properly are welcome."
...What happened? (　´д)ﾋｿﾋｿ(д｀ )

When we arrived, there was only one group of customers.
We chose a seat close to the trees on the terrace deck.

The interior had a natural and antique feel that matched the atmosphere of Karuizawa.
The wooden deck was lovely.
With trees between us and the road, it felt like we were having tea in a small forest.
The morning air in Karuizawa was refreshing.
The furniture and decor showed great attention to detail, making it a truly pleasant place.
At that time, there was only one staff member, a woman who seemed to be the owner.

Surprised by the price of the fruit tea (JPY 2300 for two), we ordered it along with a club sandwich, thinking of it as a location fee.

The fruit tea was filled with about seven types of fruits, including strawberries and melons, and it looked adorable.
We were told to add honey to taste.
First, I tried it without honey.
Oh wow, it was delicious!ヽ(*´∀｀)ノ
the various fruit aromas were delightful.
I thought it would taste like a mixed juice with so many fruits, but it was completely different.
It had a refreshing and crisp flavor and aroma.
Moreover, the natural sweetness of the fruits was delicious.
When I later added honey, the strong fruit aroma overshadowed the honey, and I felt the sweetness from the fruits was sufficient.
After a while, the staff brought a plate and fork, encouraging us to eat the fruits inside.
Some fruits had little flavor extracted into the tea, while others became bitter from the tea leaves. The grapes, wrapped in their skins, were the most delicious.

As for the club sandwich, I was a bit surprised by the thinness of the bread.
It was a bit different from what I had imagined.
I thought the taste was mediocre, but my partner found the thinness crispy and enjoyable.

While we were eating, a few more customers came in.
A couple trying to sit at a four-person table on the deck was told to sit at a two-person table instead, but since all the two-person tables were already occupied, they reluctantly took a seat on the upper deck.
It wasn't too crowded at the moment, but perhaps it would get busier later?

When I went to the register to settle the bill, the only staff member was still in the kitchen and didn’t come out.
She seemed busy since she was alone.
I called out loudly to get her attention through a gap.

The location and atmosphere of the shop were wonderful.
The fruit tea was delicious.
However, the staff member being alone made things take longer.
I thought I might not be able to come when I was short on time.
Also, the parking lot filled up quickly, so it might be safer to come by bicycle or other means.
