Subtle Sweetness Crepe☆
I visited 'La Fée Bretonne' in Karuizawa, Kitasaku District.
Yes, I understand the pronunciation is a bit tricky.
It’s called 'La Fée Bretonne,' as indicated by the sign with furigana.
However, I still don’t quite grasp the meaning of it.
I majored in French in college, but I still can’t figure it out! haha
Now, let’s talk about the crepe I ordered, which was made right away.
'Butter Honey Lemon with Whipped Cream' - JPY 400
The chewy batter paired with subtly sweet cream along with the tartness of butter and lemon was delightful.
I learned that the reduced sweetness is due to the absence of sugar, making it a crepe meant to savor the ingredients.
You can definitely feel the quality in the flavors!

I visited "La Fée Bretonne" in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture.
It's a small crepe shop located at the entrance of an antique store.
I vaguely remembered having a crepe there once before, but I had completely forgotten about it... (laughs)
This time, I stopped by because I was intrigued by the sign that advertised "homemade ginger ale."
When I placed my order, they asked, "It's spicy, is that okay?" Of course, I was looking forward to it!
I enjoyed it on a bench next to the shop, at the entrance of the antique store.
◆ Homemade Ginger Ale (JPY 500, tax included)
The aroma of ginger is prominent, and the first sip is spicy!
As I continued drinking, the ginger's heat gradually built up, resulting in a truly authentic flavor! ☆
It was so delicious that I think I'll buy some ginger at the supermarket and make a spiced syrup myself! (laughs)
