I regretfully realized that my expectation of enjoying French cuisine for JPY 3000 was overly optimistic. I had hoped the price would yield something surprising in a good way, but it was just average fare. The water (or rather, the glass) had a peculiar fishy smell that was off-putting. Considering that for JPY 3000 I could have enjoyed decent Italian or sushi, I felt like I had wasted my money on something of lesser value. Although I was disappointed with the food, the service staff displayed a level of meticulous attention typical of hotel professionals, which I appreciated.
