◇ I visited around 12:35 PM on a Saturday during the Obon holiday. The eat-in area was fully occupied with over 10 people waiting.
The take-out service was available and I could purchase without any wait!✨

◇ There appeared to be around 20 seats available for dining. Orders for take-out could be made at the counter located on the right side inside the store.

◇ The main sweet, ‘Chimoto Mochi,’ offers an enjoyable texture. It’s surprisingly soft, so airy yet still takes shape!‼️
It felt more similar to the ‘Yakumo Mochi’ from ‘Toritsu Daigaku’ than the ‘Yumochi’ from ‘Hakone.’ With walnuts included, the aroma is wonderful!✨
[Notes]
◇ ‘Chimoto’ stores are incredibly popular wherever you go. The Toritsu Daigaku location often sells out by the afternoon, but at the Karuizawa branch, it seems the ‘Chimoto Mochi’ remains available as more customers prefer to dine in!‼️
◇ I think dining in during ‘summer vacations’ or on ‘weekends’ will likely lead to long lines. On the other hand, the take-out service was smooth, so it might be a great idea to consider it as a souvenir from Karuizawa!
