【2024.04 Spring Trip to Gunma, Niigata, and Nagano: Day 3 Treats】
After enjoying delicious ramen at Oogiya, we stopped by Karuizawa Station to check out the Lions bus, purchase entry tickets, watch the Shinkansen, stamp our tickets, and even got a prize—a Plarail Tsubasa intermediate car!
After indulging in some railway activities, I accompanied my grandmother on her goshuin pilgrimage to Jinguji Temple located on the old Nakayama Street in Old Karuizawa Ginza. Since we couldn't find parking, my husband and our little one went for a drive around the area while I decided to buy soft serve ice cream from a nearby shop before reuniting with them.
The shop was tucked away from the street, but my grandmother spotted a soft serve ice cream decoration outside! It looked like an ordinary café, but when I asked if I could take away soft serve ice cream, they said yes. I ended up purchasing three cones of vanilla soft serve, with matcha also available.
Once we tasted it in the car, the rich vanilla flavor was absolutely delicious! Our little one enjoyed it too!
However, I should have asked if they could provide a little plastic spoon for children (;'∀') My grandmother was struggling a bit in the back seat, haha.
It was a great meal!
Next, we headed to Workman Plus for some shopping!
