I usually avoid this place because it’s always crowded, but since it was a weekday just before lunch, there was no line outside, so I entered right away.
Upon entering, I was seated by the window with a view of the terrace, but right behind me, a group was waiting to be seated, and there was a line forming outside.
The interior is spacious and comfortable, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. I was surprised that I could get in without waiting, as I always imagined there would be a long line extending outside on weekends!
After seeing others order the tempura seiro, I was tempted by the large shrimp that looked delicious. However, since I had plans to snack around, I decided to order:

I started by tasting the soba on its own, but I couldn’t quite discern the nuances of the flavor... haha. The texture was firm, and I really enjoyed the strong chewiness of the soba. I ordered the walnut sauce just to try it, and honestly, I didn’t have high expectations, but it was surprisingly delicious! The nutty aroma and deep flavor were prominent, and it paired wonderfully with the soba!
The soba itself was tasty enough to enjoy with the regular dipping sauce, but the walnut sauce was an excellent match as well!
They also have a great selection of side dishes and snacks, along with a wide range of alcoholic beverages, including sake, shochu, and wine, making it possible to enjoy a drink after the soba!
It might feel a bit awkward to linger during busy lunch hours, but the relaxed atmosphere inside makes it a great spot for those who enjoy a drink!
The staff were friendly, and I felt that the service was attentive! Enjoying such high-quality soba for JPY 990, along with pleasant service, is an incredible value!
