Plumeria, about a 3-minute walk from Sugamo Station, is a retro cafe located in Sugamo Jizo-dori Shotengai (Sugamo Jizo-dori Shopping Street). It is great not only for a short break, but also for Breakfast or lunch.

The bright interior, with its large windows, is lined with tables for four.

Omurice is a dish of ketchup rice wrapped in a thin egg crepe. The ketchup rice is served piping hot and freshly stir-fried, with a nice tang and the rich taste of butter.

Hoshino Coffee Sugamo Ten

Hoshino Coffee Sugamo Ten is a retro cafe on the second floor of a building just outside the north exit of JR Sugamo Station. Chandeliers light up the interior, giving the space a calm atmosphere.

There are plenty of sofa seats, so guests can settle in comfortably and spend their time however they like.

The "kamayaki souffle pancakes" are a plate of freshly baked pancakes served with whipped butter. You can choose from three kinds of syrup: honey, maple syrup, or kokuto syrup (brown sugar syrup).

The pancakes are said to be fluffy and soft, with a sweetness like castella sponge cake.

The varied Breakfast menu, including mini pancakes and toast, is also recommended.

Kissashitsu Renoir Sugamo Ekimae Ten is a coffee chain shop located a 1-minute walk from the south exit of JR Sugamo Station. Both the food and drinks are well liked for their menu lineup that feels just right for a retro cafe.
