Bunmeido Cafe is a dining cafe directly run by Bunmeido, which was founded in the Meiji era. You can enjoy wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) such as castella sponge cake, as well as Western-style dishes.
The bright interior has both counter and table seating. The breezy and pleasant terrace seats are also recommended.

This is the "Special Gosan Kasutera." It features a moist, soft texture made with a 5:3 ratio of egg yolks to egg whites. They are also particular about using Domestic wasanbon (fine-grained Japanese sugar) and honey, creating a castella with a rich taste.
This item was recreated based on production methods from the Edo to Meiji periods, giving it a real sense of tradition.

The popular tea-time item is the "yakitate Mikasa pancake (freshly baked Mikasa pancake)." It uses the batter from Bunmeido’s classic dorayaki (sweet red bean pancake), "Mikasayama."
This one comes with whipped cream, anko (sweet red bean paste), maple syrup, and fruit. You can enjoy the freshly baked batter along with both Japanese and Western flavors.

It’s called a pancake, but since it isn’t thick, it arrived 10 minutes after I ordered. The cafe latte came soon after too. I really liked the anko (sweet red bean paste) that came with the pancake, and it was great with the anko on top. Of course, I also had it with maple syrup. The cafe latte is so cute! This is something I want everyone to see in person.

You could choose between terrace or indoor seating. The service was polite and left a good impression. Whenever we raised a hand, they noticed right away and came over, and when we finished eating, they quickly cleared the plates.

I had a fruit parfait. On the first floor of the building that houses Sembikiya Sohonten, I was able to enjoy a parfait from Sembikiya Sohonten (Sembikiya Main Store) without waiting in line. The whipped cream was so good that I felt like I could eat it forever. It was rich but had no unpleasant heaviness, with restrained sweetness that paired very well with the fruit.

The shop was crowded inside, so we used the terrace seats. Since it was a day when the summer heat had eased up, we were able to relax and take our time. The shortcake with lots of fruit was refined, excellent, and not too sweet. It made for a lovely tea time together with coffee.

This matcha cafe serves carefully selected Uji matcha (Kyoto green tea) from Kyoto, shipped direct from the farm. It has a great location on the 1st floor of Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower, right outside Exit A8 of Mitsukoshimae Station on the Tokyo Metro.
The open terrace seating feels like an urban oasis. You can enjoy beautiful looking matcha menu items and a relaxing time.

The photo shows the rich and smooth "1 Cut Terrine Tasting." Slightly bitter Uji matcha terrine and sweet hojicha terrine are served on one plate.
Both have a rich taste and are said to be satisfying.
On the left in the photo is the strikingly named “Uji matcha (green tea) no Matcha Matcha Matcha Pudding.” This popular dessert is made with house-made matcha ice cream and a firm, rich matcha pudding, topped with the matcha chocolate sauce in front before eating.
The balance of the caramel’s sweetness and the bitterness of the matcha makes it irresistibly good, with a top-class flavor.
うたもぐもぐ
The matcha latte was lightly sweet and easy to drink. (You can also choose unsweetened.) The terrine combined slightly bitter matcha (green tea) and sweet hojicha (roasted green tea), and both were very rich. The only seats are terrace seats outside the shop, but since it is set a step back from the main street, it is just right when you want to take a relaxing break!

There is no seating inside, so dining is limited to the terrace. I ordered a matcha latte, matcha pudding, and a matcha terrine. They were all rich and delicious. The terrace was also clean and even had sofas.

The classic eggs Benedict, with ham and an English muffin, was a perfect match with the hollandaise sauce. It was reliably good. The French toast was super soft and creamy, with a texture that seemed to melt in my mouth, and it was delicious. The iced coffee had good body and a clean taste with no off notes, and I really enjoyed it.

Since it was the weekend in a business district, we were able to use the terrace seating for most of the time almost like a Private reservation. It has an open atmosphere like New York. Wide sofas and large tables. It seems they also have a full food menu and craft beer, but I stopped by for a cafe latte and cake. The cup was large and generous, and the Basque cheesecake had olive oil as a hidden touch? Poured on top? It was good. There is also a terrace, and the string lights look stylish.
