IVY PLACE

IVY PLACE is a cafe where you can enjoy quality time in the heart of the city.

Its appeal is the open space surrounded by greenery, and there are 200 seats in total. Among them, the open terrace with air conditioning and heating is especially popular as a relaxing place to spend time.

It seems many people visit for the signature "classic buttermilk pancakes."

Reviews say the pancakes have a fluffy, springy texture and a refined sweetness. Though each one is thin, they come stacked in three layers, and the portion is more than satisfying.

The photo shows the "Baked Maple Cheesecake with caramelized walnuts and vanilla gelato".

It is said to be a rich, dense style of cheesecake, while the cream served with it is light and refreshing. The crisp texture and toasty flavor of the caramelized walnuts are said to add a nice accent.

We requested terrace seating, but the climate control was solid and we stayed warm and comfortable. The staff were also very kind, and this felt like a restaurant with real hospitality.

・Classic buttermilk pancakes
They look simple, but they have a nice springy texture, and when you take a bite, you can taste the good flavor of the flour. Since there are 3 pancakes, I was a little worried I might get tired of the taste, but I enjoyed them all the way to the last bite without getting bored.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo

Standing along the Meguro River in Nakameguro, Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo.

The four-story interior is said to have a different concept on each floor. There are counter and table seats, plus open terraces on the third and fourth floors.

The photo shows the popular "Barrel Aged Cold Brew" among Tabelog reviewers.

This coffee is said to open with a soft whiskey aroma. It has a sweetness with deep flavor, and is well liked for making you feel a bit indulgent.

The "Purinchina" is a rich, dense chocolate tart. It is made with three layers: two layers of chocolate and a crisp cocoa tart crust.

It has a great cocoa flavor and is said to pair perfectly with coffee.

StrawberryMam

The terrace seats really do feel great. Maybe because the space is open and there is no background music, it was quieter and more comfortable than sitting inside. I recommend the terrace seats in spring and fall.

マッカイグルメ

The cafe latte I had this time featured beautifully crafted latte art, with the fine sweetness of the milk and the deep richness of the espresso in perfect harmony.

Cafe Michelangelo

Facing Kyu-Yamate-dori, this restaurant brings to mind a good old Italian cafe.

The open terrace in the courtyard has a large keyaki (zelkova tree) that is 300 years old, where you can spend a peaceful time surrounded by nature.

The "Mikeranjero Purin (Crema Caramella)" is a classic style firm pudding.

It is said to fill your mouth with the rich depth of egg, while the slightly bitter caramel neatly ties the whole flavor together.

The "tiramisu" seems to have plenty of espresso soaked into the sponge layer, bringing out its pleasantly bitter notes.

Both the cream and sponge have a firm texture, and its rich flavor that is not overly sweet pairs even better with coffee.

I used the terrace seating, and the staff paid close attention to things like the amount of sun and the temperature. The tiramisu had the aroma of liqueur, and the coffee had soaked in more thoroughly than I expected, so it became juicy when I put in my fork.

& OIMO TOKYO CAFE Nakameguro Ten

& OIMO TOKYO CAFE Nakameguro Ten is a gluten-free cafe specializing in jukusei mitsuimo (aged sweet potatoes). It is located on a street just off the Meguro River, and also has an atelier attached.

The open terrace, with 12 seats, is spacious and looks comfortable for spending time there.

The popular "mitsuimo (honey sweet potato) Basque cheesecake" has two layers: cheesecake and sweet potato.

The rich sweetness of the mitsuimo blends beautifully with the savory depth and light tang of the cheese. The bottom is crisp, which adds to the overall sense of Manzoku.

The "Kobore Mitsuimo Mont Blanc Parfait" is a well liked dessert that lets you enjoy the rich depth and natural sweetness of jukusei mitsuimo (aged sweet potato).

Reviews also say that the tartness of cassis adds a nice accent, so you can enjoy it to the last bite without getting tired of it.

RINO1024

The natural feeling of the space and the comfort of the terrace seating leave a strong impression. On sunny days, it is also nice to relax outside. People seem to stop by not only for the cafe, but also for gifts and Takeout.

・Three-sweets assortment of mitsuimo (honey sweet potato) desserts
The cheesecake and pound cake were both good, with their rich aromatic layers matching well with the mitsuimo base, but the matcha terrine was incredibly rich and completely held its own against the strongly flavored mitsuimo, which really blew me away.

nakameguro SLOW TABLE

"nakameguro SLOW TABLE" is a cafe popular for its open terrace surrounded by greenery. It stands along Komazawa-dori (Komazawa Street), a comfortable distance from the bustle around the station.

The careful service also gets high marks, and many reviews say it is a comfortable place to spend time.

The photo shows the cafe menu item chotto katame no purin (slightly firm pudding).

It is taken out of the oven just before it finishes baking, then completed with the remaining heat to create that just-right firmness. It is known for its light sweetness, and people say the nice bitterness of the caramel makes it especially good.

The “SLOW TABLE French Toast” is also popular.

It is made with plenty of fresh cream in the egg mixture, giving it a mild sweetness. You can add toppings like vanilla ice cream, bacon, or burrata cheese to suit your taste.

yasugao

The sauteed Sakurahime-dori (Sakurahime chicken) has crispy skin, juicy meat, and a really nice flavor. Spending time on the terrace as a gentle breeze blows and the shadows of the trees sway back and forth is pure bliss.

Urara

If you like Japanese sweets, Urara, located just off Kyu-Yamate-dori, is a great pick.

This hideaway-style cafe in a renovated old house has 22 open-terrace seats where you can relax at a leisurely pace.

The photo shows “Jibun de Tsukuru Fruit Daifuku (DIY fruit daifuku).”

You place homemade azuki (red bean paste), organic strawberry sauce, and seasonal fruit on soft mochi (rice cake), then wrap it up. The azuki is refined and not heavy, and it seems the balance with the tartness of the strawberries is just right.

In summer, you can enjoy kakigori (shaved ice) made with natural ice from Nikko. The ice is light and fluffy, so you can keep eating it without getting a headache.

The matcha syrup on the "Matcha Azuki" is said to be the real deal, with a solid bitter note.

cafe_tokyo_23

There is terrace seating, and for a kominka cafe (traditional old house cafe), it has a relatively large number of seats. Time seems to pass slowly here, and it feels so comfortable that you may find yourself wanting to stay a while.

鶴見川

I enjoyed kakigori (shaved ice) on a hot midsummer evening. I’ve visited several times before, and the good taste is always consistent. I usually get matcha, but today I ordered strawberry. Its nice level of tartness went well with the condensed milk, and it was really delicious. Even the half size had plenty of volume.

Daikanyama JUMP COFFEE ROASTERY CAFE

This is a roastery cafe bistro known for its in-house roasted coffee and Homemade sweets.

Inside, the wood-toned interior creates a stylish space. The balcony-like open terrace lets you feel a pleasant breeze and seems like a nice place to enjoy a relaxing cafe time.

The photo shows the "Basque Cheesecake," which is perfect with coffee.

The surface is nicely browned, while the inside is smooth and melts in your mouth. It has a rich cheese flavor, but it is not too heavy, and the sweetness is kept in check.

Some reviews said the "Classic Purin (classic pudding)" was so cute they almost felt bad digging in with a spoon.

It is said to have a strong eggy flavor and a firm texture. Tabelog reviewers say the slight bitterness of the caramel matches the pudding's sweetness really well, making it very tasty.

steam222

On nice weather days, the terrace side opens up wide, giving the place a great open feel. Whenever I visit, the pleasant service and the soft atmosphere inside make it comfortable, and I really like it.

moca♡

The soy latte has few of the distinctive flavors typical of soy milk, with a mellow and gentle mouthfeel. It balances well with the bitterness of the espresso and was just the right cup to go with sweets.

NAKAMEGURO TERRACE

If you're looking for a cafe near the station, this is another good option.

Just a 1-minute walk from Nakameguro Station, it still has an open terrace surrounded by greenery. In the chilly season, parasols with heaters are set up, so you can enjoy cafe time here all year round.

The "gâteau chocolat" is said to have a rich, melty texture.

It has a solid sweetness, but the bitter notes are said to stand out even more. The depth of the cacao and the aroma of the liqueur seem to create a Special feel.

The "tiramisu" is a popular dessert not only at cafe time but also at lunch and dinner.

Many people also say it has a light texture, with a great balance between the bitterness of the coffee and the sweetness of the cream.

cin419

There are sofa seats and a terrace too, and since there weren’t many customers at this time, I could really relax! A hidden gem! It’s clean too, which made me even happier( ´ö` )

花も団子も

The tiramisu is nice and moist. I like that it is not the runny kind. It almost feels like cake? lol. Tiramisu actually feels kind of like a gamble sometimes lol. The cafe latte is great too. It has a nice milky taste. It feels rich, with plenty of cream.

BONDI CAFE Nakameguro

Even while staying in Nakameguro, you can enjoy cafe time in a space that feels like the beachside.

The open terrace right in front of the Megurogawa (Meguro River) comes with sofa seating. You can enjoy body-friendly sweets made with carefully selected ingredients.

The "zenryufun (whole wheat) French toast" is popular with a fresh fruit mix topping.

The toast is said to be crisp on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth soft inside. Paired with the fruit’s tangy notes, it seems light and easy to enjoy.

For the zenryufun (whole wheat) banana bread, you can choose either iced or hot. If you eat it cold, it has a moist texture, and if you warm it up, it becomes light and fluffy.

The banana has a gentle sweetness, and it pairs well with drinks.

愛犬と食べ歩き記録(東京中心)

I wanted to eat acai, but I wasn’t that hungry, so I ordered the half size. I really appreciate being able to order a half size. The terrace is stylish too, so it seems like a great spot to sit outside on a nice day. It was such a lovely cafe that I’d like to visit again.

There is a well-equipped terrace seating area at the entrance, where you can relax and take in the streetscape of Nakameguro.

The photo shows the highly rated Basque cheesecake.

It is said to have a smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture and a rich flavor. It has a strong cheese taste without feeling too heavy, and when eaten with rock salt, the sweetness stands out and makes it even more delicious.

The food menu is extensive, and it seems many people stop by for a cafe lunch.

The "Jikasei Kiima Karee (house-made keema curry) from 〜 onsen tamago (soft-cooked egg) 〜" is said to be an authentic version made with 8 kinds of spices. It is mildly spicy, with the satisfying bite of coarsely ground meat.

太い風

There was a poster on the wall for pasta topped with sanma (Pacific saury), and I had wanted to try it for a long time, so I ordered it. On a beautiful day, I enjoyed it at a terrace seat, and it was delicious.
