With a 25-year history since it first opened, this restaurant seems to be loved by locals as well. The interior, with both counter and table seating, has a lively atmosphere.

The dishes at this restaurant focus on being Homemade and freshly made, and the meat in the beef Rice bowl gets good reviews for its moist, tender texture that goes very well with the rice.

They also offer topped versions with bean sprout namul, kimchi negi (green onions), and cheese, so even people who find meat alone not quite enough can feel Manzoku.

If you want to enjoy both gyudon (beef Rice bowl) and Okinawa soba (Okinawan noodle soup), the "Okinawa Soba Mini Gyudon Set" is a good pick.

The Okinawa soba is known for its gently flavored dashi broth, and the noodles are said to have just the right firmness and springy texture. It is the kind of dish you can enjoy to the last bite without getting tired of it.

・Beef Rice bowl
The slightly thick sliced beef is simmered well and has a pleasant bite. The seasoning is light. The onions are amber colored and very soft. That contrast is nice too. The miso soup comes with wakame (seaweed) and fried tofu.

I ordered the Okinawa soba (Okinawan noodle soup) and mini curry set. The stock had a nice depth of flavor, and as someone from the Kanto area, it struck me as closer to udon. The noodles were slightly curly and firm, and they went well with the soup. I chose the mini curry set because I had heard good things about the curry too, but it was bigger than I expected, and I just managed to finish it. It was very good.

This is a collab shop from the same chain. This setup works because they serve food quickly. Yoshinoya beef Rice bowl in Okinawa tastes great. Somehow, it just tastes better. A beef Rice bowl when you're tired really hits the spot.

What I came for was the Okinawa-limited bifutako. Bifutako is a taco filled with gyudon (beef bowl) topping, and they pour a tasty spicy salsa sauce over it here. The gyudon, taco, and salsa sauce go so well together that it is surprisingly good. I was very Manzoku.

Matsuya Chatan Mihama Ten

Matsuya Chatan Mihama Ten is a restaurant operated by the chain Matsuya Foods.

Located along National Route 58 in Chatan, it has a spacious interior that feels easy to drop into. The casual atmosphere makes it a comfortable place to enjoy whether you are on your own or with a group.

The standard gyu-meshi (beef Rice bowl) is available not only as an A la carte item but also as part of set menus, which you can enjoy with vegetables, eggs, tonjiru (pork miso soup), and more.

The beef is cut fairly thick, making it very satisfying. In addition to the "Kimu-karu Rice bowl," they also seem to offer a full lineup of Rice bowl menu items besides gyu-meshi.

There are lots of topping options, including cutlet, Hamburger Steak, and omelet, and reviews say it really gets people excited.

Gyudon (beef Rice bowl) is surprisingly good. It might be my favorite among the chain restaurants. Even at the same size, the price felt lower and the amount of meat seemed a little more generous.

I ordered the eye catching thick cut pork belly and eggplant spicy Rice bowl. There was no bait and switch at all in how it looked, and the thick cut pork belly had a proper heft to it and went perfectly with the eggplant. The spicy miso was just right too, and it made me want more rice. I should have made it a set meal and gotten a rice refill! It was a great meal!

The Ishigaki gyu (Ishigaki beef) Rice bowl at "Sky Cafe Ishinagiya" was a luxurious bowl that let me feel the true appeal of Ishigaki gyu the moment I took a bite. It had the moist, tender texture unique to Ishigaki gyu, and with every bite, the sweet umami of the fat overflowed. The fat felt light, with no heaviness at all. A light sear added a nice, toasty aroma, and it went unbelievably well with the rice.

Whenever I head back from Ishigakijima (Ishigaki Island), I always stop by Ishinagi. I wrap up the trip with Ishigaki gyu (Ishigaki beef) and fresh Orion beer. This time, I had the Roast Beef Rice bowl. Being able to treat yourself is one of the best parts of traveling. The meat was tender, and the sauce tasted great!

A gyudon (beef Rice bowl) shop right on the edge of Misakicho, the downtown area of Ishigakijima (Ishigaki Island), directly across from Okinawa Ginko (Bank of Okinawa)! Since I was there anyway, I decided to eat in and asked which menu item felt the most original, and they said the 【Tomato Salsa Gyudon (beef Rice bowl)】. I ordered it with wasabi miso soup. When I tried it, well, what a surprise. Salsa gyudon totally works, doesn't it? Maybe my expectations were low, but the rebound was huge lol.

ペチュヤエ

I had gyudon (beef Rice bowl) for the first time in a while. At Sukiya, I ordered on the touch panel, and I could even choose extra broth. The gyudon that arrived had tons of broth (lol). Even when you order extra broth, sometimes it barely comes with any, so it had been quite a while since I had one this soupy. It was almost more like zosui (rice porridge) than gyudon. Maybe because it had so much broth, it was really filling. Manzoku.

基本の舌

Let's go with the popular gyudon (beef bowl) curry. You get to enjoy both a beef bowl and curry. The curry is spicy and makes you sweat! The gyudon is reliably good too!
