Garage Bakery and Coffee

Garage Bakery and Coffee is a bakery cafe with a garden, located about 11 minutes by car from Hamamatsu Station.

It has open terrace seating in a lush green courtyard, where you can enjoy a relaxing and airy atmosphere. There is also a swing in the garden.

The "Lunch Plate" is a set where you can choose either grilled chicken marinated in shio-koji (salted rice malt) or tandoori chicken as the main dish.

It lets you enjoy your favorite bread along with small portions of several deli items such as carrot rapee and quiche. The seasoning is well balanced, and it is said to be more filling than it looks.

You can enjoy a variety of breads along with jikabaisen ko-hi- (house-roasted coffee). The "kinoko no taruti-nu (mushroom tartine)" is said to let you really taste the good flavor of the toppings, with a nice sense of balance with the bread.

There were also rave reviews for the "meronpan (melon pan)" and "shokora pan (chocolate bread)," praising their light texture and just-right sweetness.

I enjoyed these on the terrace in the calm atmosphere of the morning. It is nice to spend such a luxurious moment. I found myself wishing they opened an hour earlier, while passing the time under the autumn sunlight filtering through the trees. As for the all-important bread, the tandoori chicken was nicely juicy and tasty.

The cream puffs were rich and packed with cream, the cheesecake had just the right amount of sweetness, and the mentaiko (spicy cod roe) bread was generously spread, with a salty taste that kept you coming back for more. Everything was high quality, and this is a shop both adults and children can enjoy.

First, order the Mori no Gelato (forest gelato) Choco Cookie from the ticket machine. The floor is made of natural wood, and you can fully enjoy the gelato at the terrace seats with green and orange umbrellas. The gelato melts in your mouth and is as soft as vanilla cream. It goes really well with the chocolate cookies, making it even tastier.

The buns had sesame seeds on the surface and were relatively firm. The accompanying fries were well fried, and the salt level was just right, which made them easy to keep eating. In pleasant weather, I think it would also be nice to relax on the terrace and enjoy a meal while looking out over Hamanako (Lake Hamana).

The atmosphere was really nice. The feel of the interior, the service, and the view were all great. The hamburger was filling and delicious, of course, and the fries were cut on the larger side and were very tasty.

I went because I heard they had vindaloo curry, which I love, and it was incredibly good. It changes weekly, so keep that in mind. They also sell a lot of雑貨, all of which they apparently source locally in Thailand, and that is part of the fun too. They have terrace seating as well, and the atmosphere is great, so definitely give it a try.

We could see the garden outside, and the space was well ventilated, so we could spend the time waiting for the food comfortably. There is a one-drink minimum, and this time we ordered cake and grapefruit juice. The chocolate and cherry cake had a great balance of moderate tartness and the rich sweetness of the chocolate, with a unique kind of deliciousness unlike anything we had eaten before.
