A Japanese restaurant located on the 2nd floor of Shibuya Stream, directly connected to Shibuya Station and just a 4-minute walk away.
The Japanese modern interior has the warmth of wood and mainly features counter seating, making it perfect when you want to grab a quick meal. They say you can enjoy carefully prepared Japanese dishes, including onigiri (rice balls).

The "Breakfast Set" comes with 1 or 2 onigiri (rice balls) of your choice, plus a side dish and miso soup.
The "Tenpaku no Okaka Cream Cheese" in the photo is said to be delicious, with onigiri mixed with okaka (bonito flakes) matching well with the mild richness of cream cheese.

The "oden (Japanese hot pot dishes) × onigiri (rice ball) plate" comes with 1 or 2 onigiri (rice balls), 3 kinds of oden, Kara-age, salad, and more.
The onigiri are on the larger side, and one popular point is that you can choose your favorite from all the varieties.

・Freshly made onigiri (rice ball) plate
One bite of the onigiri, and it is clear this is a very good rice ball. The rice matches the perfect level of salt, and the filling adds a nice accent, making it easy to enjoy. The salad and Kara-age on the plate are also tasty, and the portion is generous, so it feels very Manzoku.

・Freshly made onigiri (rice ball) Plate C
The onigiri I chose were "Tenpaku no Okaka Cream Cheese" and "Nama Tarako Cheese." The onigiri were lightly shaped, each one was large, warm, and tasty. The okaka (bonito flakes) was especially good. The plate came with tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet), salad, 2 pieces of Kara-age, and pickles, and the portion was satisfying!

Onigiri Togoshiya Shibuya Dogenzaka Ten serves carefully made onigiri (rice balls) with the motto “freshly made, hot, and just shaped.”
The simple interior in white and natural wood feels clean and calm. There are 11 seats in total, all at the counter, which makes it easy to stop by even on your own.

Every ingredient essential to onigiri (rice balls), including the fillings, salt, and nori (seaweed), is carefully chosen from Special selections.
In addition to classic menu items like "shake" and "ume," they always offer more than 40 varieties, including creative options like "mentai mayo + yaki tarako."

Among the many onigiri (rice balls), the Most Popular is “egg yolk + soboro (seasoned ground meat).”
The combination of egg yolk slowly marinated in soy sauce and umami-rich soboro goes perfectly with white rice! It is recommended to enjoy it together with the signature Kara-age “Togoshi Maru.”

I ordered a set where you can choose your favorites from more than 30 kinds of fillings, and it came with dashimaki omelet, Kara-age, kinpira, and miso soup!! For the fillings, I chose tuna mayo shiokombu (salted kombu kelp) and sweet-savory beef with wasabi!! Both had great flavor that went perfectly with the softly shaped omusubi (rice balls), and I was very Manzoku!!

The first thing that impressed me was this marinated egg yolk in soy sauce. The glossy orange egg yolk sitting neatly on top of the rice looks beautiful and really whets your appetite. The rich egg yolk, slowly marinated in soy sauce, melts in your mouth. Mixed with the softly shaped rice, it is exactly like "egg over rice you can eat in one bite"! It is an unforgettable taste.

If you come before 14:00 on weekdays, the "Eraberu Lunch Set" is recommended.
The "Omusubi 1-ko Ichiju Nisai Setto" comes with a main dish plus a small side dish and miso soup. The freshly made onigiri (rice balls), made with Iwate-grown "Ginga no Shizuku," are said to be fluffy and surprisingly delicious.

Among the many onigiri (rice balls), one of the most popular is "shirasu shio-sansho (whitebait with salt and Japanese pepper)."
The rice, cooked in a hagama (traditional iron pot) made of Nanbu Tekki (Nambu ironware), has a distinct texture in every grain, and the onigiri is said to be generously filled with shirasu and sansho. The saltiness and the fresh heat of the sansho are said to bring out the natural sweetness of the rice.
さおにゃん0913
As expected, the omusubi (rice balls) here were gently shaped, with a great balance between the sweetness of the rice and the fillings♡The side dishes also had a home-style, gentle flavor, and the tonjiru (pork miso soup) was packed with ingredients and had a comforting taste. I also loved that it felt wholesome.

While kombu kelp rice balls are usually made with a sweeter soy sauce flavor, this one is light and really brings out the great umami of the kombu kelp! The Sea Bream rikyu-zuke (sesame-marinated) brown rice ball is packed with flaked Sea Bream, and the brown rice is easy to eat too, making it excellent☺︎

Omusubi Gonbei Farmers Kitchen Aoyama Ten is located a 6-minute walk from Shibuya Station.
While it mainly focuses on Takeout, you can also eat in. As the name Farmers Kitchen suggests, the interior has a simple and bright feel.

The showcase is lined with carefully made onigiri (rice balls) prepared with specially selected rice.
Each onigiri has a satisfying heft, yet is gently shaped and loosens nicely in the mouth. The photo shows “shiso chirimen (shiso and dried young sardines)” and “nori wasabi (seaweed and wasabi).”
The gently warm tenmusu (rice ball with tempura shrimp) is also a popular menu item with many repeat customers.
The aroma of the shrimp tempura and its plump, springy texture are said to be irresistible. It is of course great when freshly made, and people also love that it still tastes good even when cold.

It was my first time visiting, and I was Surprising at how much width? thickness? each onigiri (rice ball) had. The filling inside was generous too, and it was delicious! I want to eat the yaki-tarako (grilled cod roe) again(^^) The Okinawan takikomi gohan (seasoned rice) ? was also delicious(^^)

Onigiri shops are quietly popular, and this place lets you enjoy tasty onigiri at reasonable prices. They offer a wide variety of onigiri, and every kind is good, but the daily miso soup and tonjiru (pork soup) are also really tasty. The shop is usually pretty busy, so you may have to wait for a seat if you want to eat in.

Yuitei Shibuya Ten is a stylish onigiri (rice ball) specialty shop with a glass-front exterior.

This "bento set" lets you choose 2 onigiri (rice balls) of your choice, and for an extra charge, it comes as a set with 2 pieces of Kara-age and 2 pieces of tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet).
One of the best parts is being able to mix and match the onigiri however you like and enjoy a bento made just the way you want. The onigiri on this day were karashi takana (mustard leaf pickles) and yaki tarako (grilled cod roe).
Photograph:前野和宏
The onigiri (rice balls) made to order are all packed with plenty of filling, and the classic "salmon" is said to let you enjoy the rich flavor of salmon in every bite.
The selection of onigiri ranges from classics to more unique options, and some say they also like being able to choose between white rice and brown rice.
スプラッシュマウンテン
They made the onigiri (rice balls) for me on the spot with freshly cooked rice! They did not pack them tightly, and they were so delicate they would fall apart just from holding them, which made them really good! The flavors I had were mentaiko (spicy cod roe), takana shirasu (pickled mustard greens and whitebait), and umeboshi (pickled plum)!

Every dish let the quality of the ingredients shine through, and the gentle seasoning made the meal enjoyable from start to finish. In particular, (it would be even better if you add the name of the dish you ordered), the delicate assortment and well-balanced flavors left a strong impression. The atmosphere felt very comfortable, and I think it is perfect for lunch with friends or a relaxed dinner.

This specialty shop on B3F of Shibuya Hikarie serves high quality onigiri (rice balls) made with Uonuma-grown Koshihikari rice.
It has the clean deli-style feel you would expect from a department store food floor. The showcase is lined with onigiri, making it easy to stop by while shopping.

Of the many onigiri (rice balls) on offer, the most popular is the "beni-zake (sockeye salmon)".
The rich beni-zake pairs well with Uonuma-grown "Koshihikari" rice, and it gets praise for being generously filled so you can enjoy the flavor from the first bite to the last without it fading. It is also said to be just the right size, making it a highly satisfying light meal.
Photograph:うれしたのしみらい
The glittering sujiko (salt-cured salmon roe), shining like jewels, is also one of the popular menu items.
Its rich, distinctive texture and the great balance of saltiness and umami make it so good that people finish it in no time. The toasty aroma of the nori (seaweed) whets the appetite, and another nice point is that it stays just as tasty even after some time passes.

These carefully made onigiri (rice balls) use Uonuma-grown Koshihikari rice that is milled in-house. I bought beni-zake (sockeye salmon), tarako (cod roe), and tuna mayo. Every onigiri was packed with fillings, satisfying to eat, and delicious. They also had bento (boxed meals), so I’d like to try those too.

・tarako (salted cod roe)
The tarako is listed as coming from Funka Bay, Hokkaido. The flavor is orthodox, but the saltiness comes through and makes it very tasty. The rice is Uonuma Koshihikari, so it stays good even when cold, which is nice.

Nihonbashi Tendon Tenmusu Kaneko Hannosuke Shibuya Tokyu Foodshow Ten is a Takeout specialty shop for tenmusu (tempura rice balls) located in "Shibuchika," directly connected to Shibuya Station.

The popular menu item tenmusu (rice ball with tempura shrimp) comes in an authentic style served with Nagoya-style kyarabuki (soy-simmered butterbur).
There are two kinds, white with a salt-based flavor and black with a sweet-savory sauce flavor, and both let you fully enjoy the taste and texture of the shrimp tempura. Some people buy both kinds and enjoy comparing them.
Photograph:BLANY
Many people also visit for the "Edomae Tendon (Edomae tempura Rice bowl) Bento," which recreates the taste of the Nihonbashi Honten.
The "Jo Tendon (premium tempura Rice bowl) Bento" is packed with shrimp tempura, squid tempura, and vegetable tempura so fully that you can barely see the white rice underneath. They say that when you sprinkle on the included kuro-shichimi (black seven-spice blend), the savory flavor stands out even more and you will not be able to stop eating.
チョコレート大魔王つーしゃん
In addition to various tempura rice bowls (assorted varieties available), which adapt the signature Edomae tendon (Edomae-style tempura rice bowl) for Takeout, they also sell tenmusu (tempura rice ball) (white), made with plump shrimp and a light flavor, and tenmusu (tempura rice ball) (black), finished with their secret rice bowl sauce, so you can enjoy the taste of this famous restaurant at home.

・Tempura Rice bowl bento
It was packed with tempura lightly soaked in tentsuyu (tempura dipping sauce), with plenty of pieces like shrimp, squid, and maitake (hen of the woods mushroom), and the thin strips of yuzu (Japanese citrus) left a faint aroma in my mouth. The just-right amount of pickles, shibazuke (pickled eggplant, cucumber, and perilla), refreshed my palate, and I really enjoyed the "Kaneko Hannosuke taste" even after it had cooled.

• Karashi mentaiko (spicy pollock roe)
No. 3 in popularity✨ I went with the classic karashi mentaiko! The rice was soft with small grains, and the karashi mentaiko had a nice salty flavor and tasted great. It was not that large, more of a small size. I liked how the mild spiciness of the karashi mentaiko whetted my appetite♪
