Shiseido Parlour Ginza Honten

Shiseido Parlor Ginza Honten is a restaurant in a great location, easy to reach on foot from either Shimbashi Station or Ginza Station. It is located in the Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building on the south side of the Ginza 7-chome intersection.

This long-established restaurant has been in Ginza for many years. Along with its traditional Omurice, you can enjoy classic yoshoku (Japanese-style Western) dishes.

Omurice is made in a traditional style that has stayed the same for 100 years. A fine textured and moist omelet gently wraps tomato flavored chicken rice.

With one bite, the aroma of butter softly spreads out. The mild tang of tomato comes through, followed by the rich depth of cheese as a hidden touch in this irresistible dish.

The "meat croquette" is a popular item that wraps smooth bechamel sauce in a crisp coating.

The bechamel sauce is filled with plenty of diced veal, giving it a rich and refined taste that also goes well with the tangy tomato sauce.

Omurice is well browned on the outside, while the inside stays moist and softly set. As soon as you take a bite, the aroma of butter spreads through your mouth, and the secret demi-glace sauce brings out the flavor even more. The chicken rice carries the sweetness and aroma of ketchup, and the generously cut pieces of chicken stand out.

I prefer the kind where the egg is wrapped around it rather than the type with an omelet placed on top, and the Omurice here was exactly that, with a soft, slightly runny egg... Maybe it had cheese in it, because it had a nice stretch and rich flavor. I really hate green peas in Omurice, so I was relieved that it didn't have any either (lol)

YOU

"YOU" is a coffee shop just a short walk from Higashi-Ginza Station, with an eye-catching retro brick exterior.

Inside, the classical decor creates a calm and nostalgic atmosphere. You can enjoy classic coffee shop menu items such as Omurice and sandwiches.

The popular "Omurice" is served as a set menu with one drink included. It pairs an omelet so soft it jiggles, with firm ketchup rice.

When cut open, the inside of the rich omelet melts out. It also goes perfectly with the butter scented ketchup rice.

The drink in the photo is a classic kissaten (traditional Japanese coffeehouse) menu item: melon soda topped with vanilla ice cream for an extra charge.

As the vanilla ice cream slowly melts and mixes with the melon soda, it creates a mellow flavor. With its beautiful look and changing taste, it is said to be a nostalgic treat.

The Omurice is already jiggly when it is set on the table. When you put a spoon into it, the surface jiggles while the inside is soft and fluffy. Eaten together with the chicken rice, it has a really nice texture and a gentle flavor. If you are going to eat Omurice in Ginza (Ginza), this would be the place.

The signature dish is, of course, the well-known Omurice. It has a one of a kind style, layering rich and firm ketchup rice scented with butter with soft half cooked eggs so silky they seem almost drinkable. The melting texture that spreads the moment you put in your spoon is a memorable mouthfeel you will only find at this restaurant. It is unpretentious, yet still refined.

Rengatei

Rengatei is a long-established yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant located on Ginza Gas Light Street, about a 3-minute walk from Ginza Station Exit A10 or B1.

The interior has a calm atmosphere with a sense of tradition, and in addition to table seating, it also offers washitsu (Japanese-style rooms). This is a place where you can enjoy Omurice, loved since the restaurant first opened, along with other yoshoku dishes.

The popular "Meiji Tanjo Omurice" features rich chicken rice wrapped snugly in a smooth omelet.

The outside is cooked nice and firm, while the inside stays soft and fluffy, layering the texture of the omelet with the rich flavor of the chicken rice.

The "Ganso Pork Cutlet" has the kind of flavor you only get at a yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant. People like its light coating and clean tasting pork.

The cutlet is thick and tender, and they say it cuts with a crisp touch as soon as you put a knife into it. Add the Worcestershire sauce and karashi (Japanese mustard) from the table, and you can enjoy a change in flavor too.

I ordered the Omurice. It looked nicely cooked on the outside, but the moment I put in my spoon, I was greeted by soft, creamy egg. These days, a lot of Omurice comes with the egg placed on top, but at Rengatei, I was really excited that it was properly wrapped around the rice!

What could be called the original Omurice has ketchup rice inside, stir-fried with onion and other ingredients in a sweet and savory style. The outside follows the classic style, neatly wrapped in egg, and you could also taste the buttery flavor. The inside was cooked to a soft, slightly runny texture, which gave it an excellent mouthfeel!!

Resutoran Azuma

Restaurant Azuma is a long loved yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant in Ginza, with easy access from Ginza Station Exit B5. You can enjoy a leisurely meal in the nostalgic and relaxing atmosphere of the dining room.

The hearty portions are popular, and the lunch menu's Omurice is a favorite dish that shows off the chef's skill.

The "Omurice" served at weekday lunch. You can add one favorite item, such as Hamburger Steak or fried shrimp, to the Omurice with soft, creamy eggs.

There are four flavors of Omurice. In addition to the standard "ketchup," the "Shiro Mentai (white pollock roe)" and "Aka Mentai (red pollock roe)," which include mentaiko (spicy cod roe), are also popular.

This is also the weekday lunch menu "Azuma". The spicy, rich European style curry rice is generously poured over rugby-ball-shaped rice and Hamburger Steak. The Hamburger Steak has plenty of meaty flavor and is very satisfying.

It also comes with fried salmon, making it a plate that really feels like something from a yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant.

The fluffy, melty Omurice is really good all the way down to the rice inside, and the rich sauce is amazing too! The croquette is nice and crispy, and it goes so well with the tartar sauce〜♡ The Hamburger Steak is juicy too, with that classic yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant taste! It is a very filling lunch and totally satisfying♡ If you are going to eat yoshoku in Ginza, this is the kind of place that makes you want to come back〜っ! I want to come again♡

It had a really lovely feel, like a classic yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant, and the staff were also very pleasant and wonderful◎The Omurice did not use ketchup rice but something more like pilaf? so if you eat it expecting typical Omurice, the flavor may seem a little light (but it still tastes great!), and when you add the onion sauce separately, it becomes insanely good!!!!

Ginza Swiss Honten

Ginza Swiss Honten is a long established yoshoku (Japanese-style Western food) restaurant located on the second floor of the Okura Bekkan building, with Ginza Station as the nearest station. The long loved Omurice is a dish you should definitely try.

The interior is elegant and warm, and people like its unpretentious atmosphere that makes it easy to drop in casually.

The popular menu item is the "Omurice." A thin omelet wraps the chicken rice neatly, and the demi-glace sauce gives it that classic old-school taste.

The tender chicken and mushrooms inside the rice add depth of flavor, and the dish is not too heavy overall, with a light and refreshing taste.

"Chiba-san no Katsu Curry" is a popular menu item that was created at the request of regular customers. It features rich and mellow European style curry topped with a pork cutlet.

The cutlet, made with pork loin, has a light crispy coating. It is said to go perfectly with the rich curry.

Nwool

The Omurice came with a classic old-style omelet, and I think the filling was chicken and mushrooms. It was rich but not heavy, and really tasty! It seems you can also order smaller or larger portions, which is nice because it gives you lots of options, like sharing or enjoying side dishes too. I’d love to go again! The katsu curry I got a bite of was good too!

サニャニャニャ

Everything tastes good, though I would not call it absolutely outstanding. It has that steady good taste. That is probably why people have loved it for so long, and why it is still around today.

A Votre Sante Endo

A Votre Sante Endo is an Italian restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the Tasokan Building, just steps from Tokyo Metro Ginza Station Exit A5 or Exit A1.

It has a stylish, bright, and homey atmosphere. In addition to Omurice, it is also said to have a strong reputation for its Italian dishes.

The carefully crafted Omurice is a dish that shows off the chef’s skill. A soft omelet wraps around chicken rice made in a risotto-like style.

The butter aroma gently spreads in your mouth. The rich, runny egg mixes with the chicken rice. The aroma and flavor are said to be in perfect balance.

The "carbonara" is popular for its irresistible mix of peppery flavor, the smoky aroma of bacon, and a rich sauce. It is served in a style where you pour carbonara sauce from an eggshell over the pasta.

The sauce changes to a soft half cooked texture from the residual heat of the pasta, creating a creamy and moist taste.

千樹本

I do not know many places in Ginza where you can casually drop in and still eat very well. Today, I added one more to that list. This is a casual Italian place with very good Omurice. The rice, chicken, eggs, and tomatoes all taste great, and the whole dish is wonderfully balanced.

About 10 minutes after ordering, the Omurice arrived. It was a beautifully yellow Omurice. The red ketchup really stood out against it. The soft, runny omelet went very well with the chicken rice stir-fried in ketchup. The aroma of butter gently wafted up and made the flavor of the Omurice stand out even more.

Restaurant Hayakawa

Its old-school atmosphere feels as if time has stood still. You can take your time and enjoy Omurice, Western-style set meals, and more.

The Omurice has a home-style taste. A thin omelet wraps the ketchup rice. It also comes with miso soup.

The ketchup rice is made with onion and ham. Parts of the omelet are still slightly runny, so you can enjoy the change in texture.

The "Pork Sauté" is served set meal style with rice and miso soup. It comes with cabbage and Naporitan (Japanese-style ketchup spaghetti) on the side, adding bright color.

The tender pork is wrapped in a gentle demiglace sauce. The seasoning goes well with rice and gets good reviews.

I ordered the Omurice️. The rhythmic sound of rice being stir-fried from the kitchen raised my expectations. Before long, it arrived at the table. I could not help but smile at its neat, unchanged look wrapped in a thin egg crepe.

Omurice is wrapped in a thin layer of egg, and the ketchup rice inside has onion and red edged ham, a kind you rarely see now. It comes with shredded cabbage and kaiware daikon (radish sprouts). The Omurice has a nostalgic taste that feels comforting.

bergamotto22373

Even when it comes with demi-glace sauce, I still prefer Omurice with chicken rice (ketchup rice) inside. It had plenty of mushrooms too, and it was delicious.

Tsubakiya Coffee on the same floor and the like are sister restaurants. Both places use Royal Copenhagen cups, saucers, and cake plates. This place has far more kinds of meals and desserts than Tsubakiya Coffee. They apparently make egg dishes like Omurice and cakes in house. You can actually see them making the cakes.
