Sugartime

There is a wide selection of both drinks and food, so choosing is a lot of fun. For drinks, I went with sparkling wine → beer → red wine. As for the food... the main dish was served individually at each table by the floor staff. All the other dishes were buffet style.

Since it is a buffet, you can keep going up and help yourself to whatever you like. There were guests with children and people dining alone too, but maybe because of the location, it never got too noisy, and I could enjoy the meal in a relaxed way. Soft drinks were also All you can drink, and the apple juice was my favorite.

They made us an omelet. Since you can request the fillings, we went with karashi mentaiko (spicy pollock roe), potato, bacon, and cheese for a Fukuoka-style touch. It was light and creamy, and the mentaiko added a nice accent that made it really tasty.

It was cooked on the rare side and incredibly good, and since there were three kinds of sauce, I went back for seconds three times!

It was my first time making my own kushiage (deep-fried skewers), and it was a lot of fun. The skewers are small, bite-sized pieces, so they fry up quickly. There is also a wide variety of sauces for the skewers, and they are piping hot and tasty right after frying. I tried a full range of different ingredients, but the shrimp was by far my favorite, followed by the chicken tenderloin.

jr6767

Since frying takes a little time, I went to get the sauce and salad while waiting. That said, the ingredients are small, so they fry up fairly quickly. If you overfry them, they get tough, so it seems best not to take your eyes off them lol. Even if they are a little firm, they still taste great fresh out of the fryer, and vegetables with salt are the best.
